Just minutes after starting to drive, I thought:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">Was the 964 always this easy to drive and this much fun?<\/p>\n<p>When the 964 was delivered last fall, my first impression was &#8220;<strong>It\u2019s definitely fun, but demands real driving skill from the driver.<\/strong>&#8221; I was honestly surprised, thinking, &#8220;The Panamera handles things well even for someone like me, but the 964 is a whole different story.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-13663\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_4786-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The 964\u2019s behavior depends almost entirely on the driver\u2019s skill, making me feel as if the <strong>911 was testing me<\/strong>. I remember being tense throughout the drive.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the steering was heavy, and at very low speeds, the car barely turned in corners. I often wondered, &#8220;Why doesn\u2019t this small car have better maneuverability&#8230; lol,&#8221; which made it feel more challenging than fun at times.<\/p>\n<p>But after a few months, driving the 964 again this time, I didn\u2019t feel that difficulty. The way you smoothly lift off the accelerator when turning and those little things that make driving a Porsche so satisfying show its depth.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">My driving has, uh, improved\u2026? (\uff9f\u0434\uff9f)\uff01\uff1f<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Reading that comment made me grin (lol). While I haven\u2019t improved drastically, it\u2019s true that I\u2019ve become more attentive to the car\u2019s voice when driving.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-11953\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_3179-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lately, I\u2019ve been driving my beloved BMW 320i manual almost daily, always trying to perform <strong>\u201csmooth and careful accelerator\/brake work,\u201d \u201cclutch operation,\u201d and \u201csteering\u201d<\/strong> as best as I can.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I slip up and think, &#8220;<strong>Oops, that shift shock was a bit rough just now.<\/strong>&#8221; But each time, I reflect on what went wrong and consciously try to improve. <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(What am I even aiming for? lol)<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">The Depth of Porsche<\/h3>\n<p>As I\u2019ve heard on Twitter and experienced myself, <strong>Porsche truly is a car with incredible depth.<\/strong> It\u2019s tough on beginner drivers like I was, but if you listen with your senses and hear the car\u2019s voice, <strong>the car opens its heart to you, and driving becomes a joy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-13664\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_4801-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The more my driving skills improve, the more fun driving becomes. Every time I press the accelerator, take a corner, or brake, I feel more moved.<\/p>\n<p>Porsche surely holds <strong>hundreds of times more depth and enjoyment than I can imagine.<\/strong> When talking to Porsche owners, I often hear:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">\u201cIt took 100,000 km just to finish the break-in,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m still driving a 30-year-old Porsche.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The more you drive, the richer and more rewarding the experience becomes. Porsches are also durable and well-made industrial products.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The more I learn, the more I\u2019m amazed by Porsche, and the more I drive, the bigger a fan I become.<\/strong> I really want to keep improving my driving.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-13671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/IMG_4793-800x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Lately, I\u2019ve been muttering to myself while browsing Car Sensor, \u201cIf I were to buy a Porsche myself, it\u2019d definitely be a manual.\u201d Hearing this, my husband laughed out loud:<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">\u201cWhat\u2019s gotten into you lately? You used to say manual was nonsense, but you\u2019ve totally changed 180 degrees lol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Unknowingly, I\u2019m steadily being pulled deeper into the Porsche world. It\u2019s quite something.<\/p>\n<p>So, <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(for whatever reason)<\/span>, I made a video of the air-cooled Porsche. Since there\u2019s still limited footage and engine sound material of the 964, it\u2019s a short video focusing mainly on the engine sound.
