If we\u2019re going to switch, it might be better to do it while the mileage is still low. Since we\u2019ll keep paying the loan anyway, it\u2019s really about which car we want to be driving while paying it off.<\/p>\n<p>I thought, \u201cHmm, that makes sense.\u201d Then he added,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">The Cayenne is nice too. And if we go with another Panamera, <strong>I think the base Panamera would be enough<\/strong>. Also, <strong>a hybrid might be a good option<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I responded, &#8220;<strong>The Panamera is a sports car the whole family can enjoy<\/strong>, so I still prefer the Panamera. Plus, I like cars with a lower stance that feel more like a sports car, rather than something taller.<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He agreed, saying, \u201cYeah, that\u2019s true.\u201d We had this conversation a few times over the months.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s funny how I used to have zero interest in cars, saying things like &#8220;<strong>Mercedes S-Class and C-Class are the same size! I don\u2019t get the difference!<\/strong>,&#8221; but now I find myself saying &#8220;<strong>I prefer sports cars with a low driving position<\/strong>.&#8221; Life is full of surprises, isn\u2019t it? lol<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Enter the Taycan!<\/h3>\n<p>Then recently, the Taycan world premiere was streamed live. That night, we put the kids to bed and my husband and I got ready to watch the live broadcast at 10 pm.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"AWqou1l0KX\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/world-premia-taycan\/\">\u3010\u901f\u5831\u3011\u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7 \u30bf\u30a4\u30ab\u30f3\uff08Taycan\uff09\u306e\u5168\u8c8c\u304c\u660e\u3089\u304b\u306b &#8211; \u30ef\u30fc\u30eb\u30c9\u30d7\u30ec\u30df\u30a2\u306e\u5185\u5bb9\u307e\u3068\u3081<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><iframe class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);\" title=\"&#8220;\u3010\u901f\u5831\u3011\u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7 \u30bf\u30a4\u30ab\u30f3\uff08Taycan\uff09\u306e\u5168\u8c8c\u304c\u660e\u3089\u304b\u306b &#8211; \u30ef\u30fc\u30eb\u30c9\u30d7\u30ec\u30df\u30a2\u306e\u5185\u5bb9\u307e\u3068\u3081&#8221; &#8212; \u30dd\u30eb\u30b7\u30a7\u304c\u308f\u304c\u5bb6\u306b\u3084\u3063\u3066\u304d\u305f - \u30aa\u30fc\u30ca\u30fc\u30ba\u30d6\u30ed\u30b0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/world-premia-taycan\/embed\/#?secret=AWqou1l0KX\" data-secret=\"AWqou1l0KX\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When the Taycan was finally revealed near the end of the stream, my husband said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Hmm\u2026 the vertical cut in the headlights looks a bit like a Japanese car\u2026 I\u2019d like to test drive it, but I don\u2019t think I\u2019d buy one.<\/p>\n<p>I thought, &#8220;<strong>So he wasn\u2019t that impressed with the Taycan<\/strong>.&#8221; But the next day, when he came home, he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">How about the Taycan for our next car after the Panamera!?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Wait, wait, wait\u2026 (\uff9f\u0434\uff9f)!! You said just yesterday, &#8216;<strong>I don\u2019t want a Taycan<\/strong>!&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Yeah, I know. But since then, <strong>I\u2019ve been playing around with the Taycan configurator on overseas sites<\/strong>. When the body color is blue or a dark shade, it looks incredibly cool. The headlight cut isn\u2019t connected by a light bar, so it\u2019s different from that Japanese car design, and the more I look at it, the more I like it. Also, <strong>the Taycan has an option like a &#8220;Sports Exhaust&#8221; (Porsche Electric Sport Sound)<\/strong>, and I really like the \u201cvroom\u201d sound it makes. It\u2019s pretty cool. The Taycan is definitely an option!<\/p>\n<p>I thought, wow, he really wants one (*_*)!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-13873\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/high_taycan_turbo_s_2019_porsche_ag-1-800x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-13875\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/high_mission_e_concept_car_2015_porsche_ag-800x451.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"451\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hearing him say that made me take another look at the Taycan, and I started thinking, \u201cIt\u2019s actually pretty cool.\u201d It seems to have that <strong>refined sports car vibe<\/strong> when you see it on the street. When I asked, &#8220;<strong>But what about charging infrastructure?<\/strong>&#8221; <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Since we rent a detached house)<\/span>, he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">That\u2019s the tricky part. Our parking spot only has 100V, so that won\u2019t cut it. We\u2019d have to get the voltage upgraded. But recently, more charging stations have been installed at highway service areas and hotel parking lots, and if all else fails, we can always bring it to the Porsche Center lol.<\/p>\n<p>I see\u2026 It\u2019s a bit sad to step away from the Panamera for a while, but I\u2019ve had a goal to &#8220;<strong>buy a Porsche with my own money!<\/strong>&#8221; so I could always buy the Panamera back later if I wanted (laughs). It might be fun to have a story about &#8220;<strong>The Taycan came home<\/strong>&#8221; for a change.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, it would definitely make great blog content (\uffe3\u30fc\uffe3)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-13877\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/high_world_premiere_of_the_new_porsche_taycan_in_north_america_2019_porsche_ag-800x450.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When I asked, &#8220;<strong>Which grade would be best if we bought one?<\/strong>,&#8221; he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Well, I don\u2019t think we need the higher-end Turbo or Turbo S models. The base model should be fine. I want to experience what Porsche\u2019s electric car is like first.
