Discharged with Our Son<\/h3>\n

A few days ago, I shared the news that I had given birth to our third child, our eldest son, and now the day of discharge finally arrived<\/a>. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, my husband was not allowed to attend the birth or visit during my hospital stay, so this was the first time he could finally meet our son<\/strong>. He was going to pick us up by car from home.<\/p>\n

That said, my son and I planned to stay a bit longer at my parents\u2019 house, so after being picked up, we headed there instead of home.<\/p>\n

Since the car we ride home in after discharge is the first car our son will ever ride in<\/strong>, I wondered what my husband would come in\u2026 I mentioned this briefly in a previous post, and many of you kindly guessed. Thank you!<\/p>\n

So, the big reveal is\u2026<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was none other than the GT3!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ride is rough, and it only fits two people!! \u2026Wait, I can\u2019t even get in (*_*)!!<\/p>\n

If my husband had shown up with just the GT3 and said, “I\u2019ll take our son home, so you can take the train by yourself<\/strong>,” I probably would have lost it, grabbed a nearby stone, thrown it at the GT3, and shouted, \u201cYou idiot!!!\u201d (Postpartum hormones were raging, after all, haha)<\/span>.<\/p>\n

But thankfully, that wasn\u2019t the case (laughs).<\/p>\n

Our eldest daughter wanted to be there for the discharge too, and my mother-in-law kindly came in her Note with her, so I was able to ride in the Note and safely return to my parents\u2019 house.<\/p>\n

Apparently, even my mother-in-law told my husband, “What? You\u2019re going with just two seats? Why not all come together in the Note?<\/strong>” (Obviously!)<\/span><\/p>\n

My husband had prepared by purchasing an official Porsche baby seat just for this day. Still, it\u2019s amazing that our son was able to ride in a Porsche 911 GT3 just five days after birth. I wonder if he did something really good in a past life (laughs).<\/p>\n

His First Car: The 911 GT3<\/h3>\n

When I said, “I never expected you to come in the GT3, haha<\/strong>,” my husband replied like this:<\/p>\n

When you think of the last car you ride in, it\u2019s usually a fancy hearse. This time, it\u2019s the opposite.
\nThe first car you ride in should be the most special car.
\nI wanted to have him ride in the best car we have at home. It only happens once in a lifetime.<\/p>\n

I see\u2026 when he puts it that way, it makes sense. Although our son won\u2019t remember this at five days old, I understand my husband\u2019s feelings.
