At our home, we were already driving a 971 Panamera at the time of this inquiry, and before that, we had a 970 Panamera Edition<\/strong>, so I asked my husband for his thoughts based on that experience, and here is his reply.<\/p>\n A late 970 in good condition priced in the 5 million yen range is a bargain! Regarding the PDK, I do recall the shift from 1st to 2nd gear wasn\u2019t perfectly smooth<\/strong>, but it didn\u2019t bother me much. I recall that the Panamera (970) we had was very comfortable to ride in, and the acceleration was natural and smooth, typical of a naturally aspirated engine<\/strong>. \nAs for the naturally aspirated engine\u2019s power feel, of course the turbo model has smoother initial acceleration, but when I drove the Edition, the power was more than sufficient and I had no complaints. It\u2019s perfectly fine for commuting.
\nWhen we switched from the Edition to the 971 Panamera, we often wondered, \u201cThe Edition is so well made, can the 971 really surpass it? Seems unlikely.<\/strong>\u201d It was that well-built a Porsche.
\nHowever, what concerns me is the lack of PASM.<\/strong> Without PASM, the ride comfort might be a bit lacking (just in comparison). If you want a comfortable daily commuter, I think having PASM is better.
