It was delivered three years ago in October 2017, with a Night Blue Metallic body color, and currently has about 29,000 km on the odometer.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8661.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been thinking for a while now, \u2018Soon it will be time to say goodbye to the Panamera\u2026 it\u2019s so sad\u2026\u2019\u201d but when my husband actually told me, <strong>\u201cWe\u2019re handing the Panamera over to the dealer this week,\u201d<\/strong> I was filled with sadness. <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(By the time this article is published, the handover will already have happened.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Honestly, <strong>this is the hardest car to say goodbye to among all the cars we\u2019ve owned.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because this Panamera holds <strong>more memories than any other car I\u2019ve ever driven.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When the Panamera was delivered three years ago, I was more afraid of driving than I am now, and I was overwhelmed by the turbo\u2019s power, struggling to drive it well. Also, because the Panamera is quite large, I remember gripping the steering wheel tightly and driving tensely.<\/p>\n<p>Gradually, I got used to driving it, and thanks to this Panamera, many \u201c<strong>first experiences<\/strong>\u201d opened up for me.<\/p>\n<p>For example, I drove alone for the first time about 1,000 km round trip from home to Fuji Speedway,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8640-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I drove on a circuit (Fuji Speedway) for the first time,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19393\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_0382.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I participated in a Porsche driving school for the first time,<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8638-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I drove the Hakone Turnpike for the first time, <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(there was a sudden deer crossing incident, but I avoided it with full braking)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8663.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I drove on snowy roads for the first time <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(caught in an unseasonal heavy snowfall at the end of March)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19397\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8665.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And many other \u201cfirsts\u201d I was able to experience. Also, we took many family trips to places like Kyushu and Wakayama in this Panamera.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19398\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8658.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19399\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8657.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8637-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Every time I drove it, I felt the amazing performance of the Panamera as a car and grew to love it even more. On top of that, <strong>I discovered the joy of driving, gained some confidence, and eventually felt warm and safe sitting in the Panamera\u2019s driver\u2019s seat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was a wonderful car\u2014trustworthy in every situation, whether on mountain roads, winding routes, highways, or city streets. It was a gentleman with a fierce spirit.<\/p>\n<p>I truly loved this car.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-19401\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_8660.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s finally time to say goodbye to the Panamera. Unfortunately, <strong>I won\u2019t be able to be there for the farewell because I\u2019m back at my parents\u2019 home preparing for childbirth.<\/strong> It\u2019s so sad that the goodbye will happen like this, at the very end.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back at all the photos of the Panamera, so many memories come flooding back, and I get a bit emotional. I made sure to tell my husband to pass on my thanks to the Panamera on my behalf.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">A New Encounter<\/h3>\n<p>Now that I\u2019m more comfortable driving, can handle a manual transmission, and can go places on my own, <strong>I feel like there may never be another car that offers as many \u201cfirst experiences\u201d as this Panamera did.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In that sense, the Panamera will always hold a special place in my heart.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve driven about 30,000 km on various roads, and the engine, ride comfort, driving performance, and engine sound have all been finely tuned (laughs), so I hope it will continue to show wonderful performance in its next home.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that, thankfully, next month a <strong>911 Cabriolet (992 model) will be joining our family.<\/strong> I probably won\u2019t be driving much right after having our third child, and afterward, I\u2019ll mostly use the Note for transporting the kids.
