I even tried making my own by buying chrome moldings, but <strong>handling the joints was extremely difficult, and that too was far from satisfactory.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-19100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/18700621_10213095931534846_2810635156222631583_o-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/>  <\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19101\" style=\"width: 1290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19101\" class=\"wp-image-19101 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/18700621_10213095931494845_4358431338441062058_o-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-19101\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Homemade rings using molding. The joint on the top of the middle ring is unacceptable.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">SuncoastParts Meter Rings<\/h3>\n<p>Separately from the dealer inquiry, while searching on my own for meter rings, I came across news that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suncoastparts.com\/product\/PKCGAUGE.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SuncoastParts<\/a>, a well-known American Porsche parts retailer, was releasing meter rings (not genuine Porsche parts).  <\/p>\n<p>I immediately tried to order them, but they were sold out. After waiting a few days, <strong>sales resumed, so I quickly bought some\u2014and they turned out to be very good.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>They are made of ABS resin, so the feel isn\u2019t particularly high-end and there are some minor burrs. However, the plating is done quite well, giving <strong>just the right amount of shine, matching the other chrome parts inside the car.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p>Installation is super easy\u2014just peel off the double-sided tape and stick them on. However, since the adhesive tape is a bit weak, I recommend cleaning the surface with alcohol or similar beforehand.  <\/p>\n<p>This time, I purchased rings for both the 911 and the Boxster, but the ones that arrived were the same. Since the Boxster has a triple gauge cluster, it seems the outer two rings are not used.
