Until last year, this EPM event was held at the Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama, but this year it was hosted in Osaka, and many Porsche owners my husband knows were also exhibiting.<\/p>\n<p>Beforehand, my husband told me the event would run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and I asked, &#8220;<strong>What do you do for such a long time? Do they vote on which Porsche is the best or something?<\/strong>&#8221; He replied, &#8220;I don\u2019t know, there\u2019s no timetable or anything, probably just exhibiting is the main thing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I couldn\u2019t help but ask, &#8220;<strong>But isn\u2019t there nowhere nearby to kill time? Are you really going to be there for seven hours straight?<\/strong>&#8221; He said, &#8220;I don\u2019t know, but I\u2019ll just go and see.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I thought if it were the Red Brick Warehouse in Yokohama, there would be plenty of sightseeing spots nearby and lots of tourists, but I wondered what the atmosphere would be like in Osaka\u2019s Chikko area&#8230; Since I was feeling a bit under the weather the day before, I decided not to go to EPM.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Husband Comes Back for a Bit<\/h3>\n<p>On the day, my husband left around 6 a.m. to deliver the car, but around 9 a.m., I got a message saying, &#8220;<strong>I met some people from the Royu group, but there\u2019s really nothing to do, so I\u2019m heading back for a bit\u2014<\/strong>\u201d and he came home around 10:30 a.m., leaving the GT3 at the venue.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">No way! He actually came back for a while\u2026 lol<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">He said, \u201cThere\u2019s basically only the Aquarium nearby\u2026 Also, everyone was like, \u2018Hey, isn\u2019t your wife with you today?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hearing that made me want to go, so after lunch, we decided to check it out ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>The weather was perfect all day <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(maybe it cleared up because I decided to go lol)<\/span>, and when we arrived, about 150 Porsches were lined up. There were many air-cooled Porsches, but I heard that when held in Yokohama, there are more water-cooled Porsches.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5567-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15257\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5519-800x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15258\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5564-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My husband exhibited his GT3 Touring, and including him, there were three GT3 Tourings exhibited that day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15259\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_0812-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15260\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5565-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15261\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5566-800x533.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What surprised me was that, judging by the license plates, <strong>there were many participants from Kyushu, Nagoya, and the Kanto area<\/strong>. They all drove there themselves\u2014amazing. As we looked at each Porsche on display, my husband said, &#8220;<strong>This one\u2019s super rare!<\/strong>&#8221; and explained various details.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15262\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5553-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15263\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5554-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some models I had never seen before. Thinking about it, it\u2019s quite rare to have such a gathering of Porsches, including these rare models. While walking around the venue, we also ran into people we usually meet at Royu after a long time. One person said, &#8220;<strong>Since there was nothing to do, I went to the Aquarium to see the whale shark<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Well, that makes sense\u2014what else would you do? lol<\/p>\n<p>Among the roughly 150 Porsches on display, the kids\u2019 favorite was a green toy Porsche (laughs).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-15264\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/IMG_5557-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So cute (laughs).<\/p>\n<p>Going to this event was fun because I got to meet in person some people I\u2019d only exchanged comments with before, and also met Yamakensan, who came all the way from Tokyo by Shinkansen.<\/p>\n<p>If the next event is also held in Osaka <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(or around Kobe)<\/span>, exhibiting is a full day\u2019s work and quite tough, so I might just go as a visitor next time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"My First EPM The other day, on November 2nd, my husband exhibited his beloved GT3 at an event called the Exciting Porsche Meeting (EPM) 2019 held at the GLION Museum in Osaka.
