The other day, while driving, I noticed lots of hydrangeas blooming beautifully along the riverside park near my home. It would be lovely to take a photo of my car with the hydrangeas.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s rainy season isn\u2019t just constant rain every day\u2014there are plenty of sunny breaks in between, so <strong>the other day, I decided to take the Boxster out with the top down for the first time in a while.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18714\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_8192D-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Usually, I drive my practical BMW 320 for shopping and picking up the kids. So, I don\u2019t get to drive our Porsches that often, and that day was actually my first time driving the Boxster in a month. I was a bit nervous, thinking,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well2\">It\u2019s been a while since I drove a convertible. Even though the weather is nice, I still feel a little shy driving with the top down\u2026<\/p>\n<p>But <strong>once I opened the roof, I completely forgot about that\u2014driving with the top down felt so wonderful.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18711\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_8195-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The breeze was refreshing, the scent of the green trees lining the road, the smell of the bakery, birdsong, the engine\u2019s roar\u2026<\/strong> feeling all these with my senses while driving was truly delightful. Even on familiar local streets, just opening the roof made the drive feel fresh again\u2014this is the charm of a convertible.<\/p>\n<p>However, as it gets hotter, <strong>the midday sun becomes intense, making it tough to drive with the top down<\/strong>, so this might be the last window of time to enjoy open-air driving comfortably.<\/p>\n<p>A few days later, I had the chance to drive the Boxster with my husband. I wonder how many years it\u2019s been since we last drove it together\u2026 <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(Now that the kids are at school, we have free time in the mornings.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>When we drove together, <strong>the Boxster\u2019s ride, which I had thought was so smooth, felt a bit rougher.<\/strong> I had recently test-driven a Cayenne and still remembered its silky ride, so maybe that made the Boxster feel firmer. My husband said about the ride,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">Sometimes the ride feels different between the driver\u2019s and passenger\u2019s seats, but definitely, the ride changes quite a bit when driving alone versus with two people. It feels a bit bouncier; clearly, it\u2019s smoother when I\u2019m driving solo.<\/p>\n<p>I see\u2014so the number of passengers really affects the ride quality.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-18725\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_0939.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Car Life at Nine Months Pregnant<\/h3>\n<p>Time flies\u2014I\u2019m already nine months pregnant. We\u2019re expecting to meet our baby in August. The baby\u2019s movements are getting stronger, and my belly is dropping, so it\u2019s really starting to feel real\u2026 but honestly, it still doesn\u2019t quite sink in.<\/p>\n<p>You never know what might happen until you actually meet your child.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding my current car life, <strong>I raise the seat position when driving a Porsche with a manual transmission<\/strong>, but now my growing belly is almost touching the steering wheel\u2026 haha. I guess I only have two or three more weeks left to enjoy driving the Boxster or GT3.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-18713\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/IMG_8191D-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the baby is born, I probably won\u2019t be able to drive much for a while, so I hope to get in one or two more drives in the Boxster before then.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Boxster After a Long Time This rainy season feels like it\u2019s been wetter than last year.
