Everyone was exchanging information so enthusiastically, it was almost like they were dealership salespeople.<\/strong>\u2026 Actually, I wonder if even dealership salespeople gather info this passionately, lol.<\/p>\n Afterwards, since my husband had plans to have lunch with his acquaintance B, we left the lookout and headed to a restaurant.<\/p>\n Once seated at the restaurant, the Porsche talk resumed. \u201cWhat about the 964? How about the \u201973 Carrera? And the GT3 from such-and-such era\u2026\u201d<\/strong> I mostly just listened, and before I knew it, I had refilled my water glass more than ten times. (Not an exaggeration, really!)<\/span><\/p>\n Still, I found myself wondering again, what exactly is it about Porsche that captivates grown adults so deeply?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019m the type who easily gets bored and wants to try new things quickly, so I don\u2019t have anything I\u2019ve been passionate about my whole life.<\/p>\n So, being captivated by one thing for such a long time<\/strong> is truly a mystery to me.<\/p>\n I couldn\u2019t help but ask, \u201cWhat is it about Porsche that\u2019s so captivating? My husband said he saw a Porsche as a kid and decided then and there he would definitely buy one someday, but what keeps driving everyone\u2019s passion like this\u2026?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n My husband\u2019s acquaintance B replied, <\/p>\n Hmm\u2026 I wonder. But I guess the very first thing is the design.<\/strong> The design is cool and aspirational\u2014that might be where it all starts.<\/p>\n I responded, \u201cPorsche\u2019s design is certainly beautiful, but the motivation to keep that admiration alive for so long is amazing. Also, the passion doesn\u2019t fade even after buying one, which is incredible.<\/strong>\u201d My husband then said, <\/p>\n I think Porsche\u2019s sports car performance exceeds the long-held \u201cadmiration\u201d and \u201cexpectations.\u201d<\/strong> When I bought my first Porsche, a Boxster GTS, it took about a year from order to delivery, so my expectations were really high. But when I finally drove it, the performance easily surpassed those expectations, which surprised me.<\/strong> I thought, \u201cThat makes sense.\u201d B added, <\/p>\n That\u2019s true. Also, the deeper you learn, the more fascinating it becomes.<\/strong> I drove only water-cooled Porsches for a long time, but recently I started driving air-cooled ones. Then I discovered a whole new charm. Before I knew it, I was opening new doors one after another, lol.<\/p>\n I can definitely understand that. I really think Porsche\u2019s performance is incredible, and the fact that a Porsche made 40 years ago can still run perfectly, plus the unique appeal of each model, is amazing.<\/p>\n Still, many Porsche owners, including my husband, say that Porsche has become a part of their lives.<\/strong> That\u2019s truly remarkable.<\/p>\n Then B said, <\/p>\n That\u2019s right\u2026 but when I think about it, it\u2019s probably the \u201cconnections with people.\u201d<\/strong> Buying a Porsche opened doors to meeting people I never would have met through work. My husband agreed, <\/p>\n Exactly. Buying an AMG doesn\u2019t necessarily mean you\u2019ll connect with other AMG owners and expand your circle<\/strong> like this. Even if it does, it\u2019s probably not to the same degree as Porsche. The connections I\u2019ve gained through Porsche are truly valuable to me.<\/p>\n I see.<\/p>\n The Porsche lovers I know tend to be \u201cdedicated\u201d and \u201cserious,\u201d and that attitude shows in their work, yet they also value \u201cenriching and enjoying life.\u201d<\/p>\n So, I guess that\u2019s why they really resonate and connect deeply.<\/p>\n Porsche\u2019s appeal is immeasurable. By the way, I\u2019ve been wondering lately how wives of Porsche enthusiasts feel about all this. \nIt\u2019s not just the design; as an engineered product, it\u2019s amazing, so I think people get even more hooked after they start driving.<\/p>\n
\nEveryone is wonderful, and some have become close friends for over ten years. Through Porsche, relationships deepen and expand, and I\u2019ve learned a lot from life\u2019s seniors\u2026 I think this \u201cpeople connection\u201d aspect is the greatest charm.<\/strong> I doubt other car brands offer this to the same extent.<\/p>\n
