Unlike engine cars, you don\u2019t need to shift gears one by one; it\u2019s fast the moment you press the pedal.<\/strong><\/p>\n On the home straight, there\u2019s no shifting and the sound is incredibly quiet, yet the speed is fast,<\/strong> which felt quite strange.<\/p>\n As for steering and handling, since I don\u2019t usually play Gran Turismo SPORT (I\u2019ve only driven it a few times before)<\/span>, I can\u2019t really compare, but I found it easier to drive with less sliding when trying to take corners<\/strong> and quick acceleration out of turns.<\/p>\n However, this might be because I recently took the Porsche Track Experience (PTE), so<\/p>\n I was consciously applying techniques like \u201cfull braking after acceleration,\u201d \u201cweight transfer before steering,\u201d \u201cholding the steering wheel lightly with ring and pinky fingers,\u201d \u201coutside-inside-outside line,\u201d and \u201cpushing through corners.\u201d<\/p>\n That might be why driving felt easier. After running Fuji Speedway, my lap time was 1 minute 57 seconds.<\/strong><\/p>\n Slow\u2026 (-_-)<\/span><\/p>\n Yuta Uemura, who competed in this season\u2019s PCCJ, actually drove this Fuji course and set a course record of 1 minute 40 seconds.<\/strong> Even though the cars are different, I wonder how he manages to be 17 seconds faster\u2026 it\u2019s truly amazing.<\/p>\n That said, I don\u2019t fully remember the course or have good racing lines, so I think I could improve with practice. Still, driving the real Fuji course at the same speed as in the game would be scary and absolutely impossible for me, lol.<\/p>\n It\u2019s incredible that you can experience a car you haven\u2019t even test-driven yet through a game. I used to think, \u201cIt\u2019s just a game, after all,\u201d but even just with Gran Turismo SPORT, the courses and cars are so realistic that it\u2019s apparently not much different from actually driving. (Of course, you don\u2019t feel the G-forces.)<\/span><\/p>\n Recently, e-sports has been booming, with more competitors worldwide, truly becoming a global sport.
