Features of the New Manual Transmission<\/h4>\n
It consists of a dual-mass flywheel and a dual-disc clutch (self-adjusting), and the rev-matching function (auto-blip) is active in both SPORT and SPORT PLUS modes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n As with previous manual models, the PTV is equipped with a mechanical locking rear differential. The manual 911 Carrera S accelerates from 0-100 km\/h in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 308 km\/h. The weight is 1,480 kg, making it about 45 kg lighter than the PDK version.<\/p>\n The new 2021 model year 911 also introduces features that were previously unavailable on the 911. These include \u201cInnoDrive\u201d<\/strong>, already offered on the Panamera and Cayenne, and a new smart lift function for the front axle<\/strong> (optional)<\/span>.<\/p>\n This option has been available since the launch of the 971 Panamera but is now selectable on the 992 as well. Incidentally, InnoDrive is not available for the Panamera in Japan. Personally, I believe its introduction to the Japanese market is unlikely due to map data issues.<\/p>\n InnoDrive is an enhanced adaptive cruise control system<\/strong>. It uses navigation map data to calculate the optimal acceleration and deceleration values for the next 3 km. Considering corners and gradients, it automatically controls the engine, PDK, and brakes to assist smoother driving.<\/p>\n The smart lift function for the front axle allows the front end to be raised automatically at the push of a button. The GPS remembers the location, and when you approach that spot again, the front end automatically lifts<\/strong> (by 40 mm).<\/p>\n This feature is also found on Tesla vehicles and is very convenient.<\/p>\n The tire temperature management system introduced on the Turbo S (new tyre temperature indicator) is now available as a new feature in the Sport Chrono package.<\/strong> When tire temperature is low, a blue bar appears warning of reduced grip. As the tires warm, the indicator changes to pale blue, and when maximum grip is reached, it turns white.<\/p>\n Selecting this option replaces all glass, including the front and rear windshields, resulting in a weight reduction of over 4 kg. It also effectively reduces road and wind noise.<\/strong> When I test drove the 992 previously, I noticed some tire road noise, so if you prefer a quieter car, this might be a good choice.<\/p>\n Starting this model year, the \u201cLeather Package 930\u201d inspired by the original Porsche 911 Turbo (Type 930) can be selected as an option.
