Pregnancy and Car Life<\/h3>\n

As I shared in my blog recently, I\u2019m currently pregnant, and our family will be growing this August<\/a>. Time flies\u2014it\u2019s almost six months now, and my belly is really starting to show.<\/p>\n

Maybe because this is my third child, my skin stretches more easily (is that even a thing? lol)<\/span>, but this time my belly grew so fast that just the other day some moms at my daughter\u2019s kindergarten said, \u201cWe heard you\u2019re due this month\u2026<\/strong>\u201d (lol).<\/p>\n

There are still five months to go\u2014how big will this belly get?<\/p>\n

Through this pregnancy, including the tough times with morning sickness when I couldn\u2019t move much, I\u2019ve come to realize something important:<\/p>\n

If you want to do something, you have to do it when you want to.<\/p>\n

About a year ago, I made up my mind to \u201clearn to drive a manual car!<\/strong>\u201d and bought a BMW 320i. Now, I can even drive the Boxster and GT3. But if I hadn\u2019t taken action back then, my enthusiasm would have faded, I would have found out I was pregnant, and<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to drive a manual, but I\u2019m pregnant now, things are hectic, maybe I\u2019ll wait until later\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

I might have missed my chance to practice driving a manual, letting time slip by, and ended up never driving one at all during my car life.<\/p>\n

Last year, I also took my kids to the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan (PCCJ) in Okayama<\/a>, the Porsche 70th Anniversary event at Fuji Speedway<\/a>, and Porsche driving schools in Fuji and Wakayama<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

At first, I thought, \u201cThe kids are still small, it\u2019s a hassle and tiring to bring them along, maybe I should skip it<\/strong>,\u201d but then I thought,<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce my eldest starts elementary school, it\u2019ll be harder to take time off. It\u2019s important for them to have unique experiences and meet inspiring adults while they\u2019re still little.\u201d<\/p>\n

So I decided to go for it.<\/p>\n

Traveling with kids was challenging at times, both on the way and at the events, but everyone was so warm and kind to them. We met wonderful people, and the kids said, \u201cIt was so much fun, we want to go again<\/strong>,\u201d so it turned out to be a great experience.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

If I had thought, \u201cThe kids are still small, it\u2019s too much trouble, maybe next year<\/strong>,\u201d I would have missed out this year because of my pregnancy and the COVID-19 pandemic, which canceled all events.<\/p>\n

In fact, this season\u2019s Porsche Carrera Cup Japan was postponed, and my husband\u2019s May reservation for the Porsche Track Experience Master Course (which was canceled last fall due to heavy rain)<\/span> was also canceled.<\/p>\n

So I\u2019m really glad we took the plunge and participated last year.<\/p>\n

Two summers ago, we even took our one-year-old daughter to the Porsche Experience Center LA (PECLA) in the U.S.<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The flight there was tough since I traveled with my 4-year-old and 1-year-old daughters alone. It was a completely different experience from going just with adults. But realistically, going to the U.S. this summer is impossible, so I\u2019m glad we went back then.<\/p>\n

That said, the kids will probably forget all about it as they grow up lol.<\/p>\n

Not \u201cSomeday,\u201d but Now<\/h3>\n

Not just with car life, but in general, if you keep thinking \u201cI want to do this someday\u201d or \u201cI want to do that someday\u201d without taking action, time just keeps slipping away. It\u2019s not about blindly doing everything without considering the circumstances, but I believe it\u2019s important to \u201cact while your passion is hot, when you feel like it<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s rarely a perfect time to do something, and sometimes after deciding, you might wonder, \u201cWas now really the right time\u2026?<\/strong>\u201d But the more you act, the more encounters, learning, and experiences you gain. Life changes dramatically through the accumulation of these actions.<\/p>\n

Unexpected opportunities can come your way, opening doors to worlds you never imagined.<\/p>\n

Through my pregnancy, I\u2019ve come to realize again that \u201cthere are many things you want to do later that you simply can\u2019t do anymore<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Actually, right now, I\u2019m thinking of restarting my YouTube channel that I briefly uploaded to before<\/a>. Not with elaborate videos like before, but something lighter, more casual, and fun for me to make.<\/p>\n

I thought, \u201cWell, I can wait until after the baby is born, no rush<\/strong>,\u201d but my younger daughter will start kindergarten this spring, giving me some alone time in the mornings for the first time in years. Also, short drives nearby are a nice change of pace during pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Once the baby is born, I won\u2019t be able to move around much for a while, so I want to try it now.<\/p>\n

This time, instead of pushing myself hard like before, I want to enjoy it at my own pace within what I can manage. That\u2019s a new challenge for me.<\/p>\n

Life is only lived once.
