Of course, the Panamera and Cayenne offer smoother, more luxurious rides, but for a sports car, this level of comfort is totally fine.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to the GT3, it\u2019s many times more supple, smooth, and comfortable to ride in<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\"> (which is to be expected, haha)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6676-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t really feel the harsh impact of rough roads directly, nor is there any unpleasant jolting. That said, <strong>the Boxster was stiffer when it was first delivered<\/strong>, but now with nearly 40,000 km on the clock, having driven long distances, mountain roads, and even the track, it seems to have gradually softened and become more supple.<\/p>\n<p>My husband also mentioned about the ride comfort,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">It got even better after switching to Pilot Sport 4S tires.<\/p>\n<p>So the tires probably have a big impact too.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">\u2461 Boxster \/ Parking Bumpers<\/h3>\n<p>Since the Boxster is a sports car, we try to stop before the parking bumpers when parking, but <strong>there\u2019s no need to be as nervous as with the GT3.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16731\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6707-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The GT3\u2019s rear diffuser fins stick out quite a bit underneath, but the Boxster doesn\u2019t have that, so stopping normally just before the bumper is fine.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16732\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6690-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That day, there happened to be a 911 parked next to us, and looking at it, it was parked right up against the bumper.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16733\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6708-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6709-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Turns out it\u2019s surprisingly okay~ <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">(though I guess it depends on the height of the parking bumpers)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">\u2462 Boxster \/ Speed Bumps and Curbs<\/h3>\n<p>Regarding &#8220;<strong>whether it can clear speed bumps or curbs<\/strong>,&#8221; the Boxster is generally fine without much worry. I don\u2019t think there are many places like supermarkets, convenience stores, or parking lots where it can\u2019t go.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16735\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6695-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The parking lot we rent nearby has a pretty steep curb at the entrance, so you have to enter slowly at an angle to avoid scraping, but<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16745\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/-2020-01-10-14.44.05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"944\" height=\"566\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16747\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/\u30b9\u30af\u30ea\u30fc\u30f3\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30c8-2020-01-10-14.44.05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"944\" height=\"566\" \/><\/p>\n<p>for most other curbs, <strong>there\u2019s no need to be overly cautious, and if you\u2019re worried, just enter slowly at an angle and you\u2019ll be fine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">\u2463 Boxster \/ Cargo Space<\/h3>\n<p>The Boxster is a two-seater convertible, so <strong>you might imagine it can hardly carry any luggage, but surprisingly, it can hold quite a bit.<\/strong> Because the Boxster is mid-engine (MR layout) with the engine placed near the center of the car, it has trunks both front and rear.<\/p>\n<p>Inside the cabin, there really isn\u2019t much space for luggage, but <strong>the front trunk is quite large and deep enough to easily fit a medium-sized suitcase.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16737\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_8448-800x600-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That day, we loaded shopping bags from the supermarket and our child\u2019s jacket, and there was still plenty of room left.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16738\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6702-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>By the way, the rear trunk is a bit smaller, and at our house, we use it to store the car cover and tools, so it looks like this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16739\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6703-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Also, this is just me, but\u2026 <strong>because I have to move the seat quite far forward to reach the clutch, there\u2019s a lot of space behind the seat.<\/strong> I use that space to store jackets and such, which is convenient. It\u2019s noticeably heavier than the 911 GT3 (991.2).<\/strong> However, once you get used to it, the bite point is easy to find, and the heavier clutch actually makes fine adjustments easier.<\/p>\n<p>Also, with the GT3, sometimes it\u2019s a bit tough to slowly turn a corner in second gear at an intersection, but the Boxster handles that with ease. When I asked my husband, he said,<\/p>\n<p class=\"well3\">The GT3 has a taller gear ratio and, on top of that, the low-end torque is a bit weak, I think.<\/p>\n<p>Also, when starting on a gentle slope, if you hesitate a bit, &#8220;<strong>That would definitely stall the GT3<\/strong>&#8221; but the Boxster holds on. So when driving around town, the Boxster\u2019s clutch operation is clearly less demanding and more forgiving than the GT3\u2019s.<span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\"> (Though my husband says it\u2019s just a matter of getting used to the GT3.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-16743\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/IMG_6705-1280x960.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I used to always say, &#8220;<strong>The Boxster\u2019s manual is tough. The clutch is heavy like doing muscle training. It stalls all the time.<\/strong>&#8221; So it\u2019s funny that now I\u2019m saying it\u2019s easy to drive&#8230; haha. Basically, manual driving is just a &#8220;matter of getting used to it,&#8221; I realize again.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\">Final Thoughts<\/h3>\n<p>The Boxster\u2019s ride isn\u2019t too stiff, and you can drive it casually without much worry. It can carry quite a bit of luggage in the trunks, so I think it\u2019s perfectly fine for a couple to take a one-night, two-day hot spring trip.<\/p>\n<p>Also, the real joy of the Boxster is being able to drive with the top down. Even in everyday use, opening the roof instantly transforms the experience into something special, making even local shopping trips enjoyable. That day, I wanted to drive with the roof down and asked my younger daughter, &#8220;<strong>Want me to open the roof?<\/strong>&#8221; but she stubbornly refused, saying &#8220;<strong>No!
