There was even a time when we rented a lodge, had a barbecue, and stayed overnight. Our kids were still small then, but everyone was so kind to them, and we had a wonderful time.<\/p>\n
Husband<\/strong><\/span>: My wife took care of all the arrangements for the overnight lodge stay.<\/strong><\/p>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: Most participants were couples, so the wives would chat during free time. None of us, including myself, were really into cars, so the conversation never turned to cars (laughs).<\/p>\nBut as we spent more time together, a sense of unity gradually formed, and we became very close friends.<\/strong><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/14A8B1FB-87D2-4AA7-9EF3-8366A02AFD55.jpg\")

My husband loved cars even before we got married, but he wasn\u2019t always fixated on Porsche. He tried various cars and gradually found his way to Porsche.<\/strong><\/p>\nI gave him the Porsche album as a gift because at that time, after going through a lot, <\/p>\n
\u201cAh\u2026 this marks the end of one chapter of my husband\u2019s Porsche history.\u201d<\/p>\n
I made it as a kind of milestone.<\/p>\n

My husband is very particular about cars, so I understood that \u201cthat\u2019s why he was captivated by Porsche<\/strong>,\u201d but I thought he wouldn\u2019t be loyal to Porsche forever and would probably move on to another car someday.<\/p>\nWith that in mind, I gave him the album filled with memories, but instead of an ending, it turned out to be the beginning of his Porsche story (laughs).<\/p>\n
Seeing that, I finally realized, \u201cAh, this person really, truly loves Porsche.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: That\u2019s right (laughs). My wife made the album thinking \u201cPorsche is over,\u201d but after that, I bought a 997 GT3 RS 3.8, Macan GTS, air-cooled Porsches, and the 981 Boxster Spyder<\/strong>, and I became even more hooked on Porsche.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7188-1280x960.jpg\")

<\/span>(2) A Period of Conflict Over Cars<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/span>Were you a car enthusiast from the start?<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: No, I wasn\u2019t a car lover at all\u2026 Honestly, all cars on the road looked the same to me, and I still don\u2019t understand much about cars. Also, before we got married, we had conflicts over cars.<\/strong><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7186-1280x956.jpg\")
<\/p>\n
<\/span>Conflicts? What kind?<\/span><\/h4>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: When I was training at a company preparing for independence, I started earning a decent salary, so I suddenly bought a Mercedes-Benz.<\/p>\nAt that time, my wife was really mad at me. She said, \u201cYou haven\u2019t even achieved your work goals yet, so why are you buying a car now?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: From my perspective, a reward is something you buy after working hard and achieving results.<\/strong> So I wondered why he was buying a car before reaching his goal of independence.<\/p>\n<\/span>\u201cYou haven\u2019t accomplished anything yet, so why buy a car first?\u201d (laughs)<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: Exactly (laughs). But for my husband, cars weren\u2019t a reward. For him, \u201ccars and work goals go hand in hand.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nCars are his passion\u2026 they are his motivation in life and an indispensable part of who he is.<\/strong> Once I understood that, we stopped clashing.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_3504-1280x853.jpg\")

<\/span>I see\u2026 Cars are an essential part of his life.<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: I knew before we married that my husband loved cars, so I recognized that \u201ccars are important to him.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nBut after marrying and seeing him up close, I came to understand even more that \u201ccars are absolutely indispensable in his life.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/span>I often hear wives say they don\u2019t understand their husbands\u2019 car obsession, but I wonder if as long as the husband earns well, wives tend to complain less?<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: That\u2019s true\u2026 I think women are very strict about the balance between \u201ccars\u201d and \u201cwork.\u201d<\/p>\nIn our case, we\u2019ve come to understand over many years that \u201ccars and work are two wheels of a cart for my husband; if he lost his car, it would affect his work too.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nIf he lost his car, he might say \u201cI\u2019ve lost my purpose\u2026 my passion\u2026\u201d (laughs).<\/p>\n
Having a fulfilling passion for cars helps him work hard. And when that car is a Porsche, the wonderful community around it boosts his motivation and helps him succeed at work.<\/p>\n
Watching those two wheels turn side by side, I guess I stopped saying anything.<\/p>\n

It takes time to prove that it\u2019s really two wheels turning together. Still, I never expected my husband to become so devoted to Porsche (laughs).<\/p>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: You really have to become a bit of an enthusiast\u2026 go all the way. If that passion comes across to your wife, she\u2019ll accept it.<\/p>\nFor me, once I got into air-cooled Porsches, there was no turning back.<\/strong> Once you know air-cooled, you\u2019re loyal to Porsche forever.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7202.jpg\")

<\/span>(3) The Comfort of Being a Porsche Owner<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/span>Are there other reasons why you came to understand your husband\u2019s love for Porsche?<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: I think the presence of other Porsche owners around us has been very important.<\/p>\nWhen my husband first bought a Porsche, I could feel firsthand \u201cwhat kind of people drive Porsches<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cthere are many wonderful Porsche owners<\/strong>,\u201d which gave me great peace of mind.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7194-1280x960.jpg\")

Husband<\/strong><\/span>: That\u2019s right. After buying the Porsche, I registered on Minkara, and soon we were talking about \u201cgoing on a tour to Awaji?<\/strong>\u201d I took my wife along, and the people on the tour were genuinely nice.<\/p>\nThey were very friendly to my wife too.<\/p>\n
If the vibe of those people had been different, things might have turned out differently.<\/p>\n
Actually, I happened to find Mina-san\u2019s husband\u2019s Instagram and thought, \u201cWow, this person really loves Porsche. I want to meet him someday.<\/strong>\u201d Then we connected, met Mina-san, and I think these wonderful encounters are unique to Porsche.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7197-1280x854.jpg\")

<\/span>Experiencing the social side of Porsche made it easier to accept your husband\u2019s car passion?<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: Yes. Everyone was very reassuring. They value their own space, don\u2019t push others, and only share what they can together. I really liked this respectful, no-pressure relationship.<\/strong><\/p>\nActually feeling \u201cthis is the kind of atmosphere around Porsche owners<\/strong>\u201d made me comfortable supporting my husband\u2019s Porsche passion.<\/p>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: From there, the circle grew. We even went on a tour with just GT3 owners, which was a lot of fun looking back.<\/p>\nThe wives also became friends, and we held a year-end party at a restaurant I know, which everyone enjoyed\u2026 All thanks to the wonderful personalities of Porsche owners.<\/p>\n

Wife<\/span><\/strong>: As we deepened our connections, I gradually felt \u201cPorsche is different from the other cars my husband has owned\u2026 it\u2019s something special.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nIt\u2019s not just about the car itself\u2026 the people and community around Porsche are all part of its charm.<\/strong> Honestly, I\u2019m not knowledgeable about cars, so I don\u2019t really get the design details (laughs).<\/p>\nBut since the Porsche owners around my husband are such impressive people, I sometimes tell him, \u201cDon\u2019t get carried away thinking you\u2019re just like everyone else.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: Many people around me can easily buy several Porsches, but I always buy Porsches beyond my means (laughs).<\/p>\nI constantly remind myself not to get carried away.<\/p>\n

<\/span>As you get older and rise in status, fewer people tell you hard truths, so having a wife like you is important.<\/span><\/h4>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: At the core, we\u2019ve always remembered that \u201cwe didn\u2019t start out able to afford a Porsche.<\/strong>\u201d Even now that we own one, we must never get carried away.<\/p>\nThat said, I see my husband always giving his all at work, so regarding cars, I try not to say much and just want him to enjoy his cars freely.<\/p>\n
<\/span>(4) The Charm of Porsche<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/span>Porsche\u2019s appeal is not only the cars and owners but also its manufacturing philosophy, right?<\/span><\/h4>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: Definitely. Sometimes with other brands, the concept feels weak. When I drive a new model, I think, \u201cWow, it\u2019s totally different from the previous generation. There\u2019s no consistency in their car-making.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nWife<\/span><\/strong>: I\u2019ve only driven a Macan, but even so, I felt the engine and driving experience were special.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_3515.jpg\")

I don\u2019t understand the details like \u201chow sports cars differ from SUVs and what they have in common<\/strong>,\u201d but just driving it made me realize Porsche is completely different from other cars.<\/p>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: I\u2019m quite particular, so I think one of the big reasons I\u2019m drawn to Porsche is that \u201cPorsche is a sports car maker that never compromises on car-making.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/6DC24EC8-598B-436F-81FA-45D079294FF5-1280x959.jpg\")

Of course, I know people who drive Ferraris and Lamborghinis, but those who truly understand Porsche\u2019s real appeal always own at least one Porsche and never stray far from it.<\/p>\n
<\/span>Also, Porsche has great resale value, right?<\/span><\/h4>\nHusband<\/strong><\/span>: Yes. Early on, my wife said, \u201cPorsche is beyond our means, isn\u2019t it?<\/strong>\u201d (laughs) But after learning that \u201cPorsche holds its value much better than other brands<\/strong>,\u201d her view of Porsche changed.<\/p>\nI often show her listings on Car Sensor, and even older Porsches don\u2019t depreciate much or sometimes even appreciate\u2026 I think this helped deepen her understanding of Porsche.<\/p>\n
Also, Porsche\u2019s novelty goods are great<\/strong>, so every time we visit the dealer and get some goodies, my wife secretly gets excited (laughs).<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_7192-1280x960.jpg\")
