They don\u2019t just shape the site\u2019s image but also influence whether people want to read the articles.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At one point, he was really focused on &#8220;<strong>capturing beautiful shots of the car with night views<\/strong>,&#8221; and he spent many nights photographing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/panamera-nightview-revenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Panamera with night scenery<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/boxster-nightview-2005\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boxster with night views<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/entry\/night-view-and-porsche\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GT3 with night views<\/a>. (laughs) Every photo she sent cuts off part of the car, and <strong>there isn\u2019t a single shot that shows the whole car properly.<\/strong> Nowadays, iPhones have great image quality, so she could take nice photos, but it\u2019s such a waste. Of course, a good camera can take even better pictures, but I think composition is more important than the camera quality.<\/p>\n<p>He then shared some tips on how even amateurs can take cool, beautiful photos with just a smartphone, <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">(putting aside lens and compression effects for now)<\/span>, so today I\u2019d like to share those tips here.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tips_for_Taking_Beautiful_Photos_of_Your_Car\"><\/span>Tips for Taking Beautiful Photos of Your Car<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>According to my husband, &#8220;If you just shoot without thinking, parts get cut off. So it\u2019s important to always think about &#8216;<strong>what you want to capture<\/strong>&#8216; before taking the photo.&#8221; With that in mind, here are some key points.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Make_Sure_the_Entire_Car_Fits_in_the_Frame\"><\/span>Make Sure the Entire Car Fits in the Frame<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>First, it\u2019s essential to check that &#8220;<strong>the whole car fits in the photo and nothing is cut off<\/strong>.&#8221; Of course, sometimes you might intentionally take partial shots or cropped photos, but those are more challenging, so it\u2019s best to start by simply capturing the entire car.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Twitter allows vertical photos, but if you\u2019re not used to photographing cars yet, it\u2019s easier to get a nice shot by holding your camera horizontally to match the car\u2019s wide silhouette.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24144\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/Snapseed.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 GT3 Touring\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Looking back at some photos I took before thinking about composition at all&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24159\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/924BB80C-166D-4604-BCEA-1B61DEBC3E94.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Panamera Edition\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24163\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/IMG_1410.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 (991 model)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-24161\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/B5D10B96-7540-4C30-9436-D1C9C8924020.jpeg\" alt=\"Mercedes-Benz SLK350\" width=\"717\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Parts are cut off&#8230; (-_-)<\/p>\n<p>I didn\u2019t care at all back then, but I realized that if you just shoot without thinking, this happens quite often.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Dont_Overdo_the_Blur_for_Style\"><\/span>Don\u2019t Overdo the Blur for Style<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>On iPhones, using the Portrait mode creates stylish blurred backgrounds, but <strong>if you focus too much on blur, the whole image can become too soft, and it becomes unclear what the focus is or what you wanted to capture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So before trying to blur or make it look cool, it\u2019s important to first focus on <strong>capturing a clear, orthodox full view of the car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_Negative_Space_Effectively\"><\/span>Use Negative Space Effectively<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>In car photography, how you use the negative space around the car is a key point. If you focus on the steering wheel, the B-pillar naturally blurs, but be careful not to accidentally focus on the B-pillar.<\/p>\n<p>About this, my husband said, &#8220;A Porsche owner I know is really good at this technique. I\u2019m still learning. But I think it\u2019s good to refer to photos in car magazines and automotive media to improve your photo quality.
