the shoe soles feature a tread pattern inspired by Michelin tires.<\/li>\n<li>The sneakers are also available through the online store, but sizes are limited, so it\u2019s best to buy early.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Carrera_GT_25th_Anniversary_Merchandise_08_36\"><\/span>Carrera GT 25th Anniversary Merchandise [<a includes a range of items, including a Porsche crest key ring.<\/li>\n<li>The key ring costs more than \u00a510,000, with a carbon-fiber version also available\u2014making the collection pricier than usual.<\/li>\n<li>Before the pandemic, there was a period when Carrera GT prices were falling.<\/li>\n<li>The Carrera GT debuted in 2000, making this its 25th anniversary year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"9922_Carrera_GTS_T-Hybrid_Test_Drive_First_Impressions_14_00\"><\/span>992.2 Carrera GTS T-Hybrid Test Drive: First Impressions [<a Carrera GTS T-Hybrid with a Cognac interior\u2014a particularly striking combination.<\/li>\n<li>There\u2019s no starter-motor sound when you fire it up: press the button, and the engine starts almost instantly.<\/li>\n<li>The powertrain pairs a 3.6-liter single-turbo engine with a compact lithium-ion battery and an electric motor, adding around 50 kg (110 lb) over the previous model.<\/li>\n<li>Pulling away feels much like a conventional 911, but once on the road, the car feels more responsive on torque than the previous GTS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_the_T-Hybrid_Feels_on_the_Road_23_36\"><\/span>How the T-Hybrid Feels on the Road [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=1416s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">23:36<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>At low speeds, the electric motor provides assistance, while boost rarely comes into play. It\u2019s aptly described as an \u201celectrically assisted Carrera.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Unlike the Cayenne Hybrid, it doesn\u2019t lean as heavily on electric power; it feels more like a gasoline-powered car with hybrid assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Drivers familiar with Teslas or the Cayenne Hybrid shouldn\u2019t expect the hard-hitting acceleration of a fully electric car.<\/li>\n<li>When accelerating again from a stop, the response isn\u2019t as immediate as in an EV; there\u2019s a slight pause before the power comes in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Mountain-Road_Performance_and_PDK_27_03\"><\/span>Mountain-Road Performance and PDK [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=1623s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">27:03<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The PDK shifts up quickly, but downshifts\u2014particularly from third to second\u2014feel as if they take a moment.<\/li>\n<li>Downshifts are slightly slower than with a conventional PDK, as the transmission works to coordinate with the electric motor.<\/li>\n<li>The test car had PASM, a no-cost option, and suspension that sits 1 cm (0.4 in) higher than standard. The ride was comfortable.<\/li>\n<li>The handling is mild-mannered and closer to a Carrera T; it doesn\u2019t have the GT3-like sharpness of the previous-generation 992.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Engine_Note_and_Sound_Character_30_09\"><\/span>Engine Note and Sound Character [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=1809s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">30:09<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>It\u2019s considerably quieter than the previous Carrera GTS, with the midrange frequencies standing out most.<\/li>\n<li>Rather than the broad spread of low-to-high notes you get from a naturally aspirated engine, the sound is concentrated in the midrange.<\/li>\n<li>The sound isn\u2019t unpleasant, though some drivers may wish for more bass or treble.<\/li>\n<li>Switching on the sport exhaust gives the sound a freer, more open character, but the difference isn\u2019t as pronounced as it was on the previous model.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"High-Speed_Stability_and_Braking_33_33\"><\/span>High-Speed Stability and Braking [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2013s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">33:33<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>It feels exceptionally stable in a straight line at speed, with none of the wandering you might expect. It\u2019s a definite improvement over the previous model.<\/li>\n<li>Overall, the car seems to have taken on more of a grand touring character.<\/li>\n<li>The test car was fitted with PCCB. Brake feel was just like that of a traditional 911, with no adjustment needed.<\/li>\n<li>In third gear at 5,000 rpm, the car is traveling at 105 km\/h (65 mph). That\u2019s higher than the GT3\u2019s 90 km\/h (56 mph), but lower than the 981\u2019s 115 km\/h (71 mph).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Overall_Verdict_on_the_T-Hybrid_35_57\"><\/span>Overall Verdict on the T-Hybrid [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2157s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">35:57<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The host wouldn\u2019t buy one while already owning a Taycan. It falls short of the Taycan GT in low-speed torque, ease of use, and chassis performance.<\/li>\n<li>That said, it\u2019s a good choice as a first GT car for someone who doesn\u2019t already own a 911.<\/li>\n<li>It should suit drivers who like the character of AMG or Audi RS models. For nimble fun on mountain roads, the Carrera T is the recommendation.<\/li>\n<li>For drivers who spend most of their time in town or on the highway, the new Carrera GTS T-Hybrid is a strong choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Must-Have_911_Options_Seats_39_54\"><\/span>Must-Have 911 Options: Seats [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2394s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">39:54<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Seat ventilation is an absolute must\u2014and more important than heated seats.<\/li>\n<li>Ventilated seats make summer driving much more comfortable. You can always dress warmly when it\u2019s cold.<\/li>\n<li>The 18-way seats are also recommended. Their finer adjustments help improve comfort.<\/li>\n<li>The Porsche crest embossed on the headrests is another detail that adds to the sense of occasion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Must-Have_911_Options_Performance_41_51\"><\/span>Must-Have 911 Options: Performance [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2511s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">41:51<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Sport Chrono is a must. You may only use it on the track or mountain roads, but you\u2019ll still want it.<\/li>\n<li>Once you\u2019ve driven a car with PCCB, it\u2019s hard to go back. The brakes deliver strong stopping power and keep wheel dust to a minimum\u2014well worth \u00a51.5 million.<\/li>\n<li>On special models such as the Spyder RS, if you\u2019re going that far, you should opt for PCCB.<\/li>\n<li>Rear-axle steering makes a big difference to the way the car drives and offers practical benefits, too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Must-Have_911_Options_Comfort_and_Convenience_44_45\"><\/span>Must-Have 911 Options: Comfort and Convenience [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2685s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">44:45<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A heated steering wheel is highly recommended\u2014put it ahead of heated seats.<\/li>\n<li>In winter, even when you\u2019re bundled up, your hands are only separated from the wheel by a thin pair of gloves. A warm steering wheel makes a big difference.<\/li>\n<li>A front-axle lift is essential for cars with less ground clearance than the Carrera T. It helps you manage the entrances at a wide range of gas stations.<\/li>\n<li>Choose Matrix LED headlights for their looks and improved nighttime visibility. They\u2019re recommended if you drive on rural highways, but less necessary in the city.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"style4b\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Must-Have_911_Options_Interior_and_Exterior_48_18\"><\/span>Must-Have 911 Options: Interior and Exterior [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q-lz4c782wk&amp;t=2898s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">48:18<\/a>]<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Leather trim on the steering-column casing is a personal indulgence, but it makes a big difference to the interior\u2019s appearance.<\/li>\n<li>One caveat: bright stitching can reflect in the instrument cluster.<\/li>\n<li>For a cleaner, more stylish look, skip the privacy glass and go with clear glass.
