That\u2019s about 15,000 km per year, a clear testament to how well it serves as the daily driver in our household. My wife\u2019s Taycan 4S Cross Turismo has also exceeded 35,000 km, making our two-EV setup an integral part of daily life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34559\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_1332-1280x960.jpeg\" alt=\"Car interior, driver seat, passenger seat, steering wheel, dashboard, monitor, parking lot, TESLA, MODEL 3\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" \/><\/p>\n<p>What initially convinced me to buy was the test drive. <strong>Simply sitting down, buckling the seatbelt, and pressing the brake was enough to get started.<\/strong> There\u2019s no traditional gear lever because Tesla has decisively removed the need for humans to manually select gears. Even the sun visor isn\u2019t removed the old-fashioned way\u2014no pulling a hard clip; instead, it slides smoothly on magnets. Every tiny detail clearly reflects a <strong>philosophy of designing the car from the ground up<\/strong>. The immense power and acceleration go without saying, but the <strong>true strength lies in its precise handling.<\/strong> The car maintains perfect neutral steering; neither understeer nor oversteer is easy to provoke. The steering angle matches the vehicle\u2019s turning radius in an exceptionally linear way. Unlike some Japanese cars where there can be a disconnect between steering input and the actual trajectory, Tesla offers no such mismatch. This is likely because the car is designed assuming AI will drive it autonomously. Any mismatch would be a challenge for AI systems to handle.<\/p>\n<p>That very design philosophy translates into an incredibly rewarding experience for human drivers.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-32956\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/DSC05458-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Driving Tesla Model 3 | car, road, trees, forest, driving, suburban roads, TESLA, Model 3\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Drive it on winding mountain roads, and the car\u2019s talent becomes unmistakable. <strong>On tight, twisty uphill mountain roads, it would be no contest for most sports cars.<\/strong> And this is just the Long Range variant; the Performance model would be even more overwhelming. The body rigidity is high, and although it suffers from limited tight-turn maneuverability, the driving quality surpasses that of many sports sedans.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"style3a\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Rolling_Study_and_Theater\"><\/span>A Rolling Study and Theater<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The cabin quietness is worth highlighting.<\/p>\n<p>The Model 3 features double-pane glass, effectively muffling sound so well that you hardly hear your voice escape outside even during phone calls. In many Japanese cars, voices leak easily during calls, but Tesla owners don\u2019t have to worry about privacy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The 17-speaker sound system delivers flawless audio quality<\/strong>, ranking among the best in-car audio systems. Given my working style, Tesla becomes a mobile office anywhere. I\u2019ve experienced dozens since purchase, and the difference from day one is staggering. The range at which surrounding cars and pedestrians are recognized by the display has vastly expanded. Support for Amazon Music, automatic suppression of AC fan noise during phone calls, the evolution of existing headlights into adaptive headlights, passenger seat touchscreen controls, and increased number of cameras for Sentry Mode recording are just a few examples. Countless features have been added over time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there any other cars that keep improving free of charge long after purchase?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By 2026, as flagged by Tesla Japan\u2019s CEO Hashimoto, <strong>Full Self-Driving (FSD) is expected to be approved in Japan.<\/strong> This functionality will be accessible via updates.<\/strong> What about other EVs? They may occasionally fix bugs, but updates that add revolutionary features like FSD are almost unheard of. I cannot see why anyone would opt for less future-proof EVs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-34552\" src=\"https:\/\/www.panamera-life.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/DSC03289-1280x853.jpeg\" alt=\"Car, road, trees, driving, public road, TESLA, Model 3, Highland\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That said, I often hear <strong>\u201cI just don\u2019t like Tesla\u2019s design.\u201d<\/strong> I get it.<\/p>\n<p>But Tesla isn\u2019t a car you buy primarily for looks. It\u2019s more like an Apple Watch \u2014 how many people buy that watch just because it looks good as a fashion accessory? <strong>Most use it because it\u2019s overwhelmingly convenient. Tesla is the same.<\/strong> If you want a good-looking car, go ahead and keep it as a hobby car.<\/p>\n<p>After driving 30,000 km, my honest rating for the Tesla Model 3 satisfaction is well beyond a perfect score \u2014 I give it a 12 out of 10. It ranks among the very best cars I\u2019ve ever owned. Whether you end up buying one or not, I strongly recommend at least taking it for a spin. You\u2019ll immediately realize this car is on a different level from Japanese or German vehicles.
