My husband spotted my gloves in the car and said, \u201cThese are seriously filthy\u2014and they must stink. Why don\u2019t you get a new pair?<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cReally? They don\u2019t actually smell that bad<\/strong>,\u201d I replied.<\/p>\n\u201cThat\u2019s not the point! Haha.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\nSo, at last, I decided it was time for a replacement.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not much of a shopper. I tend to wear out my shoes, bags, and wallet before replacing them\u2014and sometimes I just buy exactly the same thing again.<\/p>\n
I\u2019d been hanging on to my gloves as long as I could, too. But maybe, even by my own standards, I\u2019d gone a little past the point of \u201cgetting my money\u2019s worth.\u201d Actually, I think I\u2019d blown right past it. (Laughs.)<\/p>\n
