I knew nothing about Porsche until now - what I learned from Porsche's driving school

Porsche Truck Experience Recap

The following is a summary of my impressions from attending the Porsche Truck Experience (PTE) Presicion.

1. I didn't know Porsche yet.

Even though I drive a Porsche every day," he said.I still didn't know about Porsche.I was painfully aware of this. Modern Porsches are easier to drive, and even someone like me can enjoy driving them in their own way.

So every time I drive, I think, "Nice car.I was able to feel that "I'm a Porsche, but I'm not a Porsche. It's a car with unfathomable performance that I can't even begin to imagine.I felt this firsthand.

It was a car with handling, acceleration, suspension, stability, and many other aspects. I learned that this is a car that can go much, much further than I had expected, dozens of times more than I had expected.

Whether or not you can pull that off is up for grabs. It is completely up to the driver.

If I have the opportunity to drive a Porsche with such great performance, I want to hone my driving skills so that I can get the best possible performance out of it. If you say you won't do that, then "I don't dare drive a high performance Porsche. Why don't you just drive another car?I even began to think, "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now.

2. Better driving

I was taught driving position, steering wheel position, how to hold the steering wheel, load shifting, pushing the steering wheel when turning a corner... I was amazed at how dramatically my driving improved just by being aware of these things. My husband often

Tennis, golf, and other sports always have a basic form. Driving is the same. The first thing to do is to make sure that the basic form is firmly ingrained in your body.If you don't get the basics right, you won't be able to drive well."

but it made sense to me.

Of course, everyday driving is not a motor sport, and if you drive a car simply for transportation purposes, you may not need to think that much. ButIf you're going to drive a Porsche... if you're going to drive in a car that is considered the pinnacle of sports cars...I thought, "I would probably enjoy it more if I got the basics right!

On the way home from Shirahama, I drove with an awareness of what I had learned. I held the steering wheel relaxed, and when going around a curve, I fixed my back on the seat and pushed the steering wheel. ThenThe driving was so smooth that it did not feel like my own driving, and it was very easy from start to finish without any extra effort on my part.

3. Car-friendly driving.

My husband used to say, "Tire grooves are not worn at all for the mileage.I have written in a previous article that I was surprised by the dealer's maintenance person who said, "I've never seen a PTE before," and after receiving the PTE this time, I thought, "I see.

When you want to drive fast, you need to drive smoothly and without straining the car. Instructors often say, "The accelerator is more smooth and gradual. You said, "When you do these kinds of runs.Driving with less stress on tires, gas pedal, and brakes, which is ultimately kinder to the car and makes your car last longer. This would lead to the following.

As with anything, forcing is not good. The natural form is what will work in the end.

4. Realizing that the hobby is only possible with the cooperation of family members

This time around, it's the opposite of what it usually is.My husband took care of our daughters the whole time, which allowed me to participate in the program. In our family, the children are still small, so the "children problem" follows us everywhere we go.

As a mother who realizes this on a daily basis, I have been working on the "I had the opportunity to participate in a full-day program by myself, away from the children.was a very valuable and gratifying time.(Although, I was wondering if the bathroom was okay... and if I peed my pants or something... and all that.)

In addition, "They allowed me to participate this time in my husband's first Porsche, the precious Boxster GTS.I'm also thankful for the "I'm not a good driver" thing. Despite the risk that my wife, who is still a terrible driver, might possibly break the clutch or hit somewhere, "Take the Boxster and go!Thank you so much for saying that.

It was also a day that made me realize that it is only with the cooperation of my family that I can enjoy my hobby.

Porsche Truck Experience, come on!

If you are a Porsche owner and like Porsche, I would highly recommend that you take the Porsche Truck Experience (PTE) if you can.

Of course, you can enjoy a Porsche without having to learn to drive at a driving school.Nor do we want those who say, "I just want to run for fun and don't have to go that far" to be forced to take the course. Also, the cost is 137,500 yen(In this case Shirahama)and expensive.

However, the program itself was very interesting, and I realized that it was more than worth the money, as my driving changed immediately after taking the program, and I enjoyed driving the Porsche even more.I now understand why it sold out so quickly after the application process began.

I'm sure that if you buy a brand new purse or bag, you'll probably spend that much...so I think it would be a good idea to take that "for PTE this time" and take the course once. ...but I'm not sure I'm the one who wears UNIQLO all year round to say that... (explosion)

Next year I'm gonna give g-Force a shot!
