Seriously Considering the Future Direction of This Porsche Blog

What’s Important in Running a Blog

When running a blog, I think it’s very important to consider what readers want and provide useful information without being self-centered. If I were a celebrity who got tons of “likes” just by saying “Good morning~!”, maybe I could write whatever I felt like (laughs).

But I’m not famous, and this blog isn’t a diary—it’s an information blog. That’s why the perspective of “providing useful information to readers” is even more important.

At the same time, I also think it’s important that I enjoy writing. Writing because “I have to” or “I don’t want to but people expect it” won’t last, and such posts won’t have any soul—they won’t be interesting or resonate with readers.

I believe that updating articles with a genuine “I want to write!” feeling will come through in the words and between the lines, making the blog resonate with readers.

The Intent Behind the Blog’s Direction

At the start, I said I want this blog to be a helpful resource for everyone considering purchasing a Porsche—not because I can or can’t do it, but simply because I honestly thought, “It would be great if such a blog existed.”

Right now, when I search online for Porsche-related articles, I honestly feel there’s not enough information. Test drive reviews from car media, evaluations in the used car market, and information from other bloggers are all useful individually, but the total amount is small.

If I were currently in the position of “I want to buy a Porsche!”, I’d want more information—and real, honest information. (But maybe there aren’t many people who research this deeply before buying, haha.) For example,

“The catalog specs say this, but what’s it really like?”
“The test drive reviews praise it, but how does it feel after owning it for 20,000 or 30,000 kilometers?”
“How much do maintenance and fuel costs actually run?”
“Car media only write about the good points, but are there really no cautions or downsides?”

I want to know these real voices. Since a Porsche is a big investment and many people want to cherish their car for a long time, I think it would be fun to share this kind of information through our daily conversations and drives, making it feel close and real.

911, Cayenne, Macan, Cayman, Come On!

That said, right now at our house, we only have two Porsche models: the Panamera and the Boxster. My husband often says,

“We only have info on some of the less popular Porsche models. The 911, Cayenne, and Macan are way more popular. It’d be great if we could cover those more, but…”

That’s true… but to do that, we’d have to own them, right? (;゚Д゚)

I wonder if someone I know would lend one… or if there’s anyone who could tell me detailed info about fuel economy and ride feel… Maybe I should ask the dealer for more test drives…

These days, I’m exploring ways to make that happen. …So, I’ve written a lot here, but regarding this blog, I want to keep updating it with joy, while also making it enjoyable and useful for readers. I appreciate your continued support!
