First impressions of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid on delivery day

Cayenne E-Hybrid, delivered

the other dayCayenne E-Hybrid delivered to my home.Today, I would like to write about my first impressions of the car, which I was allowed to drive on the day of delivery.

My husband's first impressions will be presented in a separate article to follow.

First impressions of the Cayenne E-Hybrid

I have test-driven the current Cayenne, Cayenne S, and Cayenne S Coupe, but I have a very strong impression of the normal Cayenne that I test-drove first.

I was just impressed with the smooth and comfortable ride and driving experience. I was impressed with the smoothness and comfort of the ride and the way it drove."I can't believe this is really an SUV and the ride quality is even better than the Panamera!I was very surprised.

And now I could drive the Cayenne E-Hybrid on the day of delivery, but I had not driven the car while I was back home with my parents for the birth of my baby. This was my first Porsche drive in about a month and a half.I was very much looking forward to driving the car.

In conclusion, regarding our first impressions of the Cayenne E-Hybrid.I was as impressed as when I was allowed to drive a Porsche (970 Panamera) for the first time in my life.It was probably partly because I was able to drive a Porsche for the first time in a month and a half, but I think it was largely because I was so impressed with the "hybrid".

Anyway, the initial start after stepping on the accelerator pedal was very smooth. The car moved forward smoothly without any resistance. I have always been a fan of

I wonder if hybrids are heavier because of the motor, so they start out heavier as well. They say you can drive almost exclusively on the motor in town, but I wonder if it is a little underpowered.

I had a selfish image of the "I'm not a good person."So this is a Porsche hybrid! Amazing!!!and the image of hybrids has changed dramatically.

one's familyNote e-POWER NISMO SThe Cayenne, however, seemed to me like a smoother, higher quality version of the Note's motor.(Our notebook is a NISMO, so the suspension is stiffer.)

What also surprised me was how quiet it was. When I started the engine, I also noticed that "What, did you just start the engine? The engine started so softly and softly that I was tempted to ask myself if it was a Porsche or a Porsche. Compared to the loud and powerful sound of a Porsche engine starting up, it was so quiet that it almost sounded like it wasn't a Porsche at all.

This way, I don't have to worry about disturbing the neighbors, no matter what time I ride, whether it's early in the morning or late at night (laughs).

The interior of the car was also very quiet and comfortable while driving, making it easy to have a conversation. Even when driving on the highway, the quietness remained the same.

In addition, to my surprise, there was absolutely no gearshift shock while driving. I was surprised to find that there were no shocks at all during shifting."It's an exaggeration to say that there are none at all.You might think, "I really didn't know when I shifted gears. My husband says, "Cayenne's AT is tiptronic, which would be a good match for a hybrid.but I felt it was quite different from the PDK of the Panamera.

The Panamera's AT was also smart, but sometimes I felt a shock when shifting into second gear, and the sound of the engine made it easy to hear how the gears were changing.

If hybrids are so good, how amazing must Porsche's first electric car, the Taikan, be? It must be terrifying.

I had this conversation with my husband, and then we decided to drive a little bit on the highway.

On the highway, the lane changes were very pleasant. But on this, I don't mean that the Cayenne is particularly good; it could be an air-cooled Porsche, a Panamera, or a GT3.The same sense of oneness between horse and rider that is common to all Porsche models, a sense of oneness between horse and rideris also reproduced in the Cayenne.

Moreover, the Cayenne has a high driver's eye level, which made lane changes feel smoother than in a sports car that crawls on the ground.

I would love to go to Fuji Speedway and go on long trips with it... I am really looking forward to the day when my son is a little older and we can take a road trip as a family.

In addition, theThe Cayenne is smaller than I thought it would be.When I parked the car in the parking lot at home, I wondered what would happen to the huge vehicle, which was bigger than the Panamera, but I was able to put it in with one shot.(Even though I'm not that good at parking)

When the steering wheel is turned and the accelerator pedal is pressed down gradually, the car cuts into the road more quickly than expected from the halfway point. Moreover, theEven though it does not come with a rear axle steering option. It is.

Mr. H, who was in charge of our house, said, "This Cayenne is quite a small car," and it really was.

Of course, there are some narrow parking lots and coin-operated parking lots in the city that are physically impossible, but other than that, I felt there was no need to be more afraid than necessary.

And later.I drove the Cayenne for a bit to drop off and pick up my kindergarten, but if the distance from my house to the kindergarten is(a little over two kilometers round trip)The motor was sufficient from start to finish. The hill in front of my house is quite steep, and when I was driving the Panamera, the fuel consumption often dropped to the 4km/liter range on the last hill, but the Cayenne E-Hybrid was able to climb that hill without difficulty using only the motor.

I then looked at the fuel consumption and found that it had hit a figure of 100 km/l, which I had never seen before (laughs).

Followed by various Cayenne reviews.

I've only just taken delivery of the car and haven't run it in various situations, so I've only written about my first impressions of it.It's amazing how good the Cayenne E-Hybrid is for a car with almost no options.

We will continue to charge(I heard that only the charger itself has not arrived yet)I hope to be able to introduce, in turn, the following: the first impressions of my husband, the fuel consumption, the linkage with the Porsche app, and so on.
