PORSCHE" decal on a Porsche 911 GT3

The other day my husband, after much agonizing, finally had decals put on his GT3, and I asked him to write an article about it. Please take a look.

Do you want to put decals on your GT3?

Originally, I had very last minute doubts when purchasing GT3.

that isWhether to apply decals or notIt is.

Even the GT3 is a touring package, so I don't think it should be too racy. On the other hand, it is possible to put decals on it like the 911R, which has a similar concept.

At the time, I was thinking of two patterns if I were to apply decals.

  1. Apply only the side decals of the PORSCHE logo.
  2. Side decals and racing stripes are also applied to the body.

It was.

After a lot of research, I found the very same thing on Instagram.GT3 Touring owner with ideal decals.was there, and I used it as a reference while processing the simulation with Photoshop on my own.

After much agonizing, he said, "I'm not sure I can do it."At the time of delivery, the car will be ridden as stock for now.The decision was made to "leave it at that," and to think about it again later.

After that, I put the decals on the back burner and had the dealer paint the door handles high-gloss black, which I had forgotten to order when I placed the order, and so on, gradually bringing the GT3 Touring closer to my ideal GT3 Touring.

I applied decals.

One day in Ashiu, I was showing the car of a friend of mine who has the same GT3 Touring. It had "PORSCHE" decals on the side.

In person. It looks very cool and the sides look tight. It looks as if the flab around the stomach has somehow fallen off, and the car appears to be poised at an even lower height.

I asked the owner about this. Not factory made, store made.It seems. They had applied the factory decals on another car in the past, but the quality was too thin and air was easy to get in, so they made the original decals this time.

At any rate, we were introduced to the store, and later brought the GT3 to the store to see the actual decal quality and colors, etc. The decals were very solid and there were many color options, so we decided to have them applied there.

In applying the decals this time around, we used

  • I want a color that is a little lighter than black, for example, a dark silverish color.
  • I want to match the satin platinum color of the wheels as much as possible.

But when I was shown a color sample, there was a color called charcoal something (I forgot the official name).Dark gray silver with a hint of brownIt was.

When we looked at them together, the yellowish crayon of the body color and the slight brown of the decal matched well, and were also the closest in color to the wheels. Also, theI like that it looks black, silver or gray depending on the light. We did this.

I dropped the car off for a couple of days, and when I went to pick it up, I found that it was a very good-looking GT3, even for my own child. Anyway, the stomach area looks slimmer and thinner, and the rear fender bulge looks more pronounced.

Here is a picture of the entire image actually pasted on the wall.

I have never been a big fan of applying decals, but now that I have done so, I feel like I can drive my car in a new way, and I really like the way it looks. I am beginning to realize the fun of adding a little customization to my car.
