Cars I Met at the Hiruzen MT: Porsche, Nissan GT-R, Corvette…

Attending the Hiruzen MT

Yesterday, I wrote an article about touring the Okayama Wide-Area Farm Road (link here), and today I want to share about the Hiruzen MT (Meeting) I joined along the way.

After fully enjoying the wide-area farm road, I headed north toward Hiruzen. I avoided the highway and took Route 313 north, then switched to Route 482 and Prefectural Route 114. After a while, a huge drive-in-like facility with a large Ferris wheel and roller coaster came into view on the left. This was the destination for the day, the venue for the Hiruzen MT: Hiruzen Kogen Center Joyful Park.

Heading to the Hiruzen MT Venue

The Hiruzen MT is an event held several times a year, hosted by Masucchi, for car enthusiasts of all kinds—domestic, imported, modified, you name it. When I arrived, quite a number of cars had already gathered. It was even busier than a Sunday at Royu. The parking lot was huge, so there was a substantial turnout.

Upon arrival, Masucchi-san came running over and guided me to a parking spot. Right away, he said, “Hiro-san!! I feel like I just met a celebrity!” I blushed and exchanged greetings, then we talked about the event, the cars, and the people who had come.

At the time I arrived, I counted about five other Porsches besides mine, followed by domestic cars and American cars, then European cars. Here are a few cars that caught my eye.

Porsche, Nissan GT-R, Corvette…

Beautifully lowered stance and very cool! The seat upholstery featured a rare PORSCHE logo fabric seat.

The 718 Spider in Crayon with a red soft top—classic coolness!

This one’s equipped with the intimidating PCCB brakes.

A rare black 981 Spider! I wish I could have heard that beautiful engine note.

A heavily race-inspired custom 996! Looks like a blast to take on the track!

When it was announced, I actually thought it was really cool and even wanted one—the rare GT-R 50th Anniversary edition.

Right now, besides Porsche, this is actually the car I want most—the Corvette C8!

The decals are super cool! Shelby Mustang

Still looks stunning today! BMW i8! I wonder if its value will rise someday?

Surrounded by so many cars and chatting with various people, I had a truly enjoyable time. Events where car lovers gather are always fun regardless of the genre. I definitely want to join again if I get the chance.

Thank you to everyone I met at the Hiruzen MT!
