Porsche 911

I recorded the engine sound of a Porsche 911 GT3.

About the sound of a car's engine

I really think that engine sound is very important when driving a car. Before, when I was not interested in cars at all, I used to think, "I'm not interested in cars at all.The sound of a car engine is just too loud. But recently, I've been thinkingEngine sound is an important and indispensable part of drivingI've come to believe that it is.

However, there is no general statement about this engine noise. The engine sound of this car is the bestIt's hard to say, "The sound of the engine is good or bad," because it's completely a matter of personal preference. What sounds good to some people is completely different to others. It can also be called "the

There are some sounds that are not logical, that don't fit or don't fit, and some sounds that are said to be good by the general public are not for me......................engine sounds are very deep....................................

So today, I would like to introduce a video recording of the engine sound of the GT3, after a bit of clarification about the engine sound of the Porsche in our house, although it is just my personal opinion.

Boxster GTS (981)

Our 981 Boxster GTS is a 2016 model, which at the time was said to be the last NA 6-cylinder Boxster/Cayman model.(Later this year, the 718GTS4.0 with a 4-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine was announced.)

Personally, I like the sound of the Boxster's engine the best among all the cars in my house because it is so pleasant. Compared to the old Porsches, the engine sound has been seasoned, and the production is superb...the "bob-bob-bob-bob" afterfire sound heard every time the accelerator pedal is released, the blipping sound, and the piercing, pleasant sound when accelerating, are all really pleasant. It really feels good.

It is truly an engine sound that deserves to be called a tone.

And when driving with the car open, it is a real joy to be able to drive while feeling the sound of the engine throughout one's entire body.

The engine sound of the 981 Boxster GTS has a wider sound range than that of the 718.At low speeds, the sound is low, but as you step on the gas pedal and pick up speed, the sound jumps up to a higher pitch in response to RPM. I wonder if this is what makes it different from the 718GTS4.0, which is also an NA 6-cylinder model.(This is only from what I can hear on youtube)

I have posted a video recording of the Boxster's engine sound before on youtube of Porsche Came to Our House, if you would like to see it.

Panamera Turbo (971)

Our Panamera Turbo is a V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo engine modelIt is. It has a nice sound with a sloppy and massive feel that is truly unique to a V8. My Panamera has almost 30,000 kilometers on the odometer, and the engine has recently become even louder than when it was delivered to me.

The sound when the engine starts is so loud that I think it might be louder than a 981 Boxster.

Also, when accelerating, the sound is tremendously powerful, as if a beast were howling. When I once attended a Porsche driving school in a Panamera, my husband, who was outside watching

"The sound of the Panamera on full acceleration was incredible, along with the pummeling sound of the PDK, it sounded like it wasn't a sedan at all, just a crazy cool sound of a sports car!"

He said. I hope to film the sound of the Panamera engine on youtube someday.

Air-cooled 911 (964C2)

The sound of the 964's engine is still different from the water-cooled model. My husband also said, "Air-cooled engine sounds good.I've been saying this for a long time now. My husband says.

The sound of an air-cooled engine is somewhat loud even at idle, but it is mostly mechanical noise, with a small percentage of exhaust noise. The ratio remains the same even when the engine is running at medium to high RPM, and the explosion sound, noise from moving parts, intake sound, and tappet sound are all mixed together to create a unique sound.
This analog sound is hard to hear in modern cars, and I think it has a great flavor.

He said.
Incidentally, the engine sound of this 964 has also been uploaded on youtube before, if you would like to see it.(My husband is not too happy with the quality of the recording.)

911 GT3 (991 Late model)

And as for GT3, "The late 991 would be the last model with an NA engine. It is a GT3 of the type that was said to be "the last of its kind". In fact, it is likely that the 992 will not be the last, as it is also likely to be powered by an NA engine. Even with the same NA engine, the sound of the GT3's engine is completely different from the Boxster's. The sound of the GT3's engine is exactly that of a racing engine.

Basically, the engine sound is bass-heavy, but with a fine-grained, clear sound. As the engine accelerates and the RPMs rise, it sounds like a race car, as if heard on a race track.

Therefore, we have recorded the engine sound of the GT3 and made a video of it combined with video. Actually, my husband has been trying to record the engine sound of GT3 since last year, and recently he finally succeeded in recording the engine sound of GT3.I wonder if I can put this out into the world.I edited the video to show that I was able to capture the sound of the engine, which is called "the sound of the engine" (laughs).

I would be happy to take a look if you would like to see it.
