My Family's Car Life

Delivery at last! Mercedes-Benz GLB has arrived at our house.

GLB, delivery of vehicle

Yesterday. The long-awaited Mercedes-Benz GLB has arrived at our home.

GLB200d 4MATIC, body color Iridium Silver, fully optioned with AMG Line Package, AMG Leather Exclusive Package, Advanced Package and Panoramic Sliding Roof.

Earlier this year, we started thinking about buying a new family car andI'll wait for the Taikan, or the new Cayenne, or the BMW X7...I've been considering a lot of things, such as, those cars are "sizeThe conclusion was that it would be difficult for our house right now because of the "size" issue. (The size issue is also discussed in this article.)

Then, this past summer, my husband, who wasI had the opportunity to test drive a GLB200d for a friend of mine.My husband was very impressed with the way she ran.

."It rides well, feels well grounded, handles the way I like it, rolls very little on mountain roads, is fun to drive, and it's less than 1850 wide and seats 7!"

So the GLB quickly emerged as a candidate for a family car.

Just then, there happened to be a drawing for a model that was to be delivered in the winter. It's so competitive, you're not likely to hit it first.I entered the competition and was lucky enough to win.

However, we were told that the car would be delivered around February next year, so we had to wait patiently.

However, since we had already sold the Cayenne, we had to travel each time in our only home, a five-passenger Swissport.I can fit a family of 5 in the Swisspo, but I still have a baby seat and the passenger seat is a bit cramped... I can't wait for the GLB to arrive...The car was delivered in November, much earlier than planned.

I don't think my whole family has ever waited so long for a car to be delivered!

GLB First Impressions

The weather on the day of delivery was fine. (I think it was sunny because I, a super rainy woman, had not originally planned to go there.)

In fact, until the day of delivery.I had never been on a GLB.I was allowed to drive the car for a little while after it was delivered. I will write about my detailed impressions at a later date, so this time I would like to introduce only my first impressions of the car.

As it turns out, I loved the ride. The car has a high line of sight, but the ground feel is decent, and the car is not too light when starting out, but moves forward firmly as much as the driver presses the accelerator pedal.

I have a bit of a problem with riding too light, but that's not the case at all with GLB.I felt no discomfort at all when driving.I felt it was very much to my liking.

I am not aGolf 7 that used to be in our houseLike the ride and feel of theI like a car that is a little firmer and more grounded.Shall we say that we can trust the car and drive with peace of mind?

So, for those who like the so-called smooth, soft and fluffy ride, "GLB's ride is a bit stiff...I thought it might be an impression that

It also climbs up a steep hill in front of my house, and I felt that the 200d would be more than enough for this, instead of the AMG. (For now, since I haven't driven it that much yet)

Also, when you sit in the back seat, you'll seeThanks to the sunroof, the interior feels open and not oppressive.I was also surprised. The interior of the car felt so spacious that I could hardly believe I was driving such a compact-sized car.

The newness of the instrumentation and the comfort equipment were also a testament to Mercedes-Benz, and even my daughters, who are not so interested in cars, were impressed by them. That's great! He was excited and liked it.

My husband said, "Don't worry about the mileage on this GLB, just ride it down!He says that he will soon be making a round trip to Tokyo to break in the car (laugh), so I hope you will look forward to my husband's impressions again.
