Year-end touring with Porsche 911-Wide-area farm road tour of Okayama and Hiroshima-

Enjoy the Okayama wide-area farm roads from Tsuyama

Last touring noteFollowing on, this time I would like to deliver the wide-area farm road edition of Okayama and Hiroshima.

In the morning of Tsuyama city, it is often foggy. It was a thick fog last time, but this time too, the fog is deep in the morning.

I got ready at the hotel, and by the time I left, the fog had cleared and the sun had begun to shine. The car-washed 911, which sleeps in the parking lot, gets wet immediately with the night dew. Start the engine and check the route with the touring maple while warming up lightly in the car.

I can't help coming to Tsuyama and running on the beautiful Yamanami HighwaySo, of course, assuming that you will run here, you can continue from thereI chose the route that runs again on the Okukibi Kaido, Kagura Kaido, and Okayama's three major roads.

This is my first time to drive on the Yamanami Highway in the early morning. The air is clear and this is a road with little traffic, but it's even less in the morning. Feel free to put a whip in the 911 and run through in Sports Plus mode.

The temperature is quite low and the road surface is semi-wet, but the Pilot Alpine PA4 grips the road surface with great grip and does not let go. It's just a pleasure to run through while repeating shift changes from 3rd gear to 4th gear, then 3rd gear and 2nd gear more than necessary.

After that, run through the usual Okukibi Kaido and continue to the Kagura Kaido. When you drive about 100km of "Ascension" highways, you are really full.

I ran to the point where I was fully satisfied.

Now to Hiroshima

I've been to the west several times from K33, but it's difficult to decide the route because there are many roads around here. If you are not good at it, you are likely to get lost in a narrow road, so you have to run carefully.

For the time being, I decided to go west on K106. Stop 911 at Bichu Yasuragi no Sato and check the route further.

For the time being, if you run as it is, there seems to be no such hard road.

Go through the villages that exist here and there. If you think that there are 1 to 1.5 lanes, it is a road with a lot of changes such as suddenly opening 2 lanes.Since the traffic is light, we can recommend the two-lane section as a very easy-to-run freeway.

Go north on R182, which is wide and easy to drive, and turn left onto the Kamiishi Wide Area Farm Road (also known as Momiji Kaido). This is the first road to go. On the way, a little snow remains on the road surface near the pass, but there is no obstacle to traffic.

Go south through the wide and comfortable winding section of K25 and K26. From the vicinity of Mikawa Dam, proceed west on Fureai Road. From this area, Hiroshima's wide-area farm roads are gradually becoming more serious.

On the way, turn right to Fruit Road, which is a wide and straight road, and it is a wonderful and pleasant free-running road.

I tried to wander around this Sera town a little, but the roads are well maintained everywhere, and there are many roads that are very easy to drive. It's an area that I envy for drive lovers.Rather than winding like Okayama's wide-area farm road, there are many roads with a gentle straight line, so it is recommended if you want to run slowly.

Compared to Boxster, 911 feels good even on such a straight road, no, to be precise, I do not feel much stress.Boxster wants to know how many curves he can make, and if the monotonous straight road continues too much, he may feel unsatisfactory.

However, the 911 car is more well-balanced than that, and I feel that I can continue to drive with a stable feeling on straight roads and roads with many curves.

Drive through a number of wonderful roads such as K56, K45, and R376, and then head for the Takakita wide-area farm road. This is a famous road with a long straight line.

The Takakita wide-area farm road begins with a small winding. Somehow,It's a winding like a mini "Kagura Kaido"

From the middle of the road, the road gradually widens, and a stunning straight road that stretches over 1km appears in front of you. Fortunately no one was running on this day and it was reserved. Park 911 on the shoulder and take a picture.

After that, drive fast on K322 and head south toward TS Tamara Circuit. This road is also wonderful. It is the best free-running section.

Heading to Shikoku

Check the route at a convenience store on the way.

Will it continue westward toward Yamaguchi Prefecture, or will it head south toward Shikoku? The conclusion I made was to aim for Shikoku.

Go south to Shimanami Kaido at once. The Shimanami Kaido, which runs for the first time in a long time, is always beautiful. The 911 slows down and slowly cruises in the driving lane.

I usually like to get off at Omishima and drive along the scenic coastline, but this time it's too late so I passed.

By the time the sun goes down, we arrive in Saijo City. With a beat here, I'm planning to cross Shikoku and return home tomorrow.

to be continued.
