Famous road, Ibusuki Skyline

The journey is nearing the end.

I arrived at the hotel late the day before, but I did my best and got up early. I feel a little sleep deprived and I feel tired.

Get dressed, board 911,First, aim for the Ibusuki Skyline.

Ibusuki Skyline is one of the top 5 Japanese roads I thinkis. I have run in Boxster before, and I remember being impressed by the wonderfulness of the road, the light traffic, and the distance.

This time as well, it is a road that cannot be missed, so it is a road that I had planned since I landed in Kyushu. There are many famous roads in Kyushu, especially around Aso, but if you really like driving, I want you to run Ibusuki Sky Run.

This Ibusuki Skyline has a part connected to the expressway (managed by NEXCO West Japan) and a part managed by Kagoshima Prefectural Road Corporation, and although it is the same Ibusuki Skyline, the road conditions are completely different, so it is easy to get confused. (There are also Kagoshima Regional Promotion Bureau, Nansatsu Regional Promotion Bureau management part, etc., which is complicated)

among them,The "Ibusuki Skyline" I say is the part south of the Taniyama IC, and it is a section where you pay a toll of 100 yen to run.This 100 yen section is wonderful. As I wrote before, I personally think it's worth about 4,000 yen.

The traffic volume will decrease at once from the Taniyama IC. First of all, medium-scale upwinding continues, followed by a series of medium-speed corners. It was said that the 992's turbo engine is torqueful and there are few opportunities to turn it on ordinary roads, but it can be stepped on in such situations.

While manually shifting to 2nd and 3rd gear, run through each corner. One of the great things about this Ibusuki Skyline is that there are observatories where you can see Sakurajima in some places.

After running for a while, the road width gradually widens and there are many sections where high-speed corners with gentle uphills continue. Climbing lanes are also available, so you can safely pull out even if you have a slow car.

From here, it's the section where power matters.

It feels really good. There are no people, and there are almost no cars running.It is a famous road where you can run safely at your own pace.

When you can see Mt. Kaimondake in the distance, make a U-turn and enjoy the famous road again.Porsche runs lively and runs really happy.It's a really pleasant road, even if you don't skip it. This feeling of openness and charter is irresistible.

Return to the Taniyama IC, and then continue to use the highway toward Kirishima. I had never been to the Kirishima region before, so I wanted to go there once.

To Kirishima Jingu

Head north on K60 toward Kirishima Jingu. There is also a GW period, and although there is a little heavy traffic, the road is good. After running for a while, a big torii will appear. It is the torii gate of Kirishima Shrine.

Proceed further from the torii gate, park 911 in the parking lot, and head for worship. There are many people, but it's not so crowded. The magnificent main shrine feels the weight of history. However, I gave up because the line of worship was long and it was impossible to wait.

When I was looking at the big cedar tree Shinboku in the precincts, the guide said, "The protrusions on the branches look like a small god is worshiping.He told me. It certainly looks like that. It seems that the priest wearing a costume is worshiping.

I gently put my hands together and left the shrine.

Stop at Oike on the way and take a short break on the shore of the lake. There seems to be another good way around here, so I would like to explore it again.

And, as it was a long drive every day, I headed to a hotel in Miyazaki city early today. I ran fast on the rattle Miyazaki car and arrived at around 16:00.

By the way, I stayed at a business hotel called Hayashiso for 3,500 yen without meals. I chose this because there was only one vacant place in the hotel with a parking lot.Although it is old, it is cleaner than I had imagined and there is no problem with the equipment.

It was a very satisfying hotel for the price, and I was able to take a rest.
