Japan Middle of the Road Meeting with Porsche 911 GT3

Touring with Mr. wata, a Boxster rider

My husband has long looked up to him as his "mentor."Famous for his Porsche Boxster (formerly BMW Alpina) blog.WATA.The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column. The 981 Boxster he purchased new already has more than 160,000 kilometers on the odometer, and he has driven all over Japan many times on all kinds of roads.

My husband is a

I like driving and touring too, but I can't compare to you. You are truly amazing. Hopefully we can meet someday and ride together.

My husband's wish came true when a mutual acquaintance invited him and his wifea to join them on their touring trip. And I had already told him in advance that I wanted to go with them. What car are you going to take this time?I asked.

Well, GT3 is the only way! If I'm going to run with Mr. Wata, I'm going to have to show up with GT3!

and prepared for the event with extraordinary enthusiasm (laughs).

In this issue.2-day/1-night touring with 9 cars around Mt. Ontake, straddling Nagano and Gifu PrefecturesI asked my husband to write a report on the event when he got home. Please take a look if you like.

Heading north in a Porsche 911 GT3.

It has been a long time since I have driven a GT3, as I have recently been driving only a 992 in order to finish breaking in quickly. Moreover, this may be the first time for me to go on such a long distance touring.

The destination of the Japan Domannaka Meeting is Nigorigo Onsen "Nigorigo Hot Springs" located on Mt.yugenkan". WHEREAS.Touring to meet up with each member in Kanto and Kansai area. And they have held this event several times in the past.

This time, theI started the day before and headed out after exploring the Fukui - Kanazawa - Toyama area. The first thing to do was to take the Maizuru Expressway to Fukui. First, we took the Maizuru Expressway and headed toward Fukui. It had been a while sinceGT3 on the highway is still very special. The 992 is also a really great car and comfortable at high speeds, but the GT3 seems to add even more stability to it.

This is especially noticeable at high speed corners, where the car turns as if crawling without any slippage at all. Lateral G-forces are applied cleanly to the body, and it does not feel as if G-forces are escaping at all. It is such a sensation of turning without any slippage. This isHard to find in regular 911 models.I think.

In terms of high-speed "stability," the GT3 definitely gets 5 stars. In comparison, the 992 would be about 4.5 stars. On the other hand, in terms of "comfort" at high speeds, the situation is reversed: the 992 feels less speedy and more comfortable.

Therefore. If you want to run long distances without getting tired, I would say 992, and if you want to feel the overwhelming high performance suspension and power, GT3.It would be like that.

First, we headed for the Angel Line in Fukui and took pictures at a parking lot on top of the mountain. The road here is not very good, but the top of the mountain is a rare spot where one can take pictures of one's car with the ocean in the background, without the reflection of guardrails and such.

Next, we headed north on Route 162 and enjoyed the superb winding roads along the Sea of Japan. The GT3 shift is fixed between 2nd and 3rd gear.Upshift by keeping the accelerator pedal depressed and downshift by auto-blipping in SPORT mode.

Bashun! Bash!" and the sound of the engine echoes through the air. and the sound of the engine echoes through the air, and the superb handling of the GT3 is intoxicating. This handling can only be experienced with the GT3.I think it's a thing.

Then, after that.Go to Senrihama Nagisa Driveway via Hokuriku Road.I bring GT3 to the sandy beach fearfully and run the sandy beach. I think that there are not many people who came here with GT3 until now.

We stayed overnight in Toyama City and finally met up with WATA and his group the next day.

Next → Porsche, RUF, BMW Albina, and AUDI for an impressive touring experience!
