Porsche Panamera

Do luxury cars get pranked? In the case of our Porsche.

Panamera license plate

The other day, I decided to get into a Panamera I had parked at home, and casually looked at the license plate and noticed that the angle was wrong for all intents and purposes.

Why is it like this?

I wondered if something had hit it, but if it had, the license plate would be dented, so no. Then I tried to fix it by hand, but it didn't fix it at all. So I asked my husband to take a look.

Uh...this is probably a prank. It's odd that the license plate is at such an angle. It's clearly a human hand.

And.

Seriously... (-_-)

."My precious car was tampered with.I was very uncomfortable at the thought of "I'm sorry," but I decided to check the drive recorder just to be sure. However, I was not sure if "I don't know if there is anything I can do about it, though...I took out the SD card and checked the huge amount of data one by one, but in the end, nothing was on the card.

The parking lot of our house is right on the way to elementary and junior high school, so perhaps a child played a trick. Or maybe it was someone who has a grudge against our house...(I think that's a pretty good way to live, W.)

License plate repair

Since I couldn't leave the license plate bent, I decided to fix it right away. I turned the screw with a screwdriver and removed the license plate.

I guess it's pretty easy to remove. The Panamera with the license plate removed looked strange, perhaps because I was not accustomed to seeing it, but it seemed somewhat soulless (w).

I then decided to go into the house and change the angle of the license plate back to the original angle, but my husband told me that

It's aluminum, so I think it bends pretty easily. If you put the license plate on a table or something with rounded corners and push it, it will probably come back together.

I was taught to do this, and when I tried it with a little force, it went back to normal quite easily.

No, it didn't go back perfectly straight, but I was able to fix it until it didn't feel particularly uncomfortable when I installed it.

Mischief on Porsche

Our neighborhood is crawling with Porsches and foreign cars.Whoa! It's a Porsche!I have never had any major mischief done to me, but once someone scratched the 970 Panamera Edition that I used to have in my house.

It had been a while since my Panamera was delivered. One day I noticed that there was a scratch on the hood that looked like it had been scratched by something.

It was not very noticeable depending on the angle and light, so I had no idea when it was put on...(↓It's hard to tell from the following photo)

However, I didn't want to leave it as it was, so in the evening of the day I noticed it, I went around to three nearby gas stations and stores that do maintenance. Then at the first one.

With this damage, we would have to repaint the entire hood, but Porsche's painting technology is so amazing that we can't guarantee that we can reproduce it perfectly... We recommend that you have it repainted at the dealer if possible.

The second store said they could fix it, but offered a much higher price. And at the third shop, I was told, "It's almost time to close for business, so come back tomorrow. They said, "I'm not going to be able to do that" (explosion)...

."I wonder if this is an implicit refusal from the restaurant...When we finally realized that our car had been damaged, we contacted Mr. H at the dealership and asked him to repair it using our insurance. As I recall, we only had to pay the deductible of 100,000 yen.

Since then, I have not been tampered with, but this time, the case of the bent license plate of the Panamera reminded me again of the bad memory of those days.

No matter what kind of car it is, it is an important beloved car for its owner, so please do not do anything naughty with it. Even if they do not get caught, the heavens are watching, and I am sure it will come back to them one day in some form or another.

I wonder if a shuttered garage would be less prone to tampering...I wonder.
