Autumn touring with Porsche 911. A trip around Shinshu, Noto, Hida, and Mino (1)

Touring alone with Porsche 911

Porsche Experience Center TokyoI came to Yokohama with my family on Cayenne and 911 (early 991, Carrera 4 GTS) to go to Yokohama, but the next day,My family trip is disbanded at a hotel in YokohamaThe first is the "A" in the "A" column.

As soon as I ate breakfast at the hotel, I quickly packed my luggage in 911 and checked out alone, leaving my family behind. While restraining my motivation, I decided to run through the city of Minatomirai with 911 and aim for Shinshu.

The highway is very crowded, probably because it was the weekend after the state of emergency was declared.

Accidental traffic jams and natural traffic jams are occurring here and there, and it does not proceed as expected. The Google Maps navigation guides you through the unfamiliar city of Sagamihara, but it's quite suspicious whether it's really saving time.

For the time being, I decided to take the Chuo Expressway after the traffic jam from Sagamiko IC and aim for Kobuchisawa IC. As you move north, the traffic volume decreases and you can enjoy comfortable cruising. It is a little quieter at high speed than the 981 Boxster, so if you turn off the sports exhaust,The inside of the car is comfortable for a sports car.

Occasionally, when the front is opened, when you switch to sports mode and step on the accelerator, you can hear a loud GTS sound from the rear. It is probably because of the sound symposer that you can hear this much in the car even in the coupe. Each part of intake sound, exhaust sound, and mechanical noise plays in a perfect balance. Exactly "6-cylinder orchestra"While enjoying, 911 aimed at the Yatsugatake Kogen line so as to fly away.

Run around Yatsugatake

There is a lot of traffic around Yatsugatake because it is Saturday. Although it blocks the way to the slow-moving front car, the autumn colors around the road are in full bloom, which is great for a sightseeing drive.

Raise the altitude at Yatsugatake View Road with Lake Matsubara on the side via R141. Even beforeNote The road that came with e-power NISIMO SHowever, when I come to 911, the expression looks different again. With the overwhelming sense of stability of Carrera 4, the uphill corner feels like a flat ground.

The PTM (Porsche Traction Management System) instantly changes the front and rear torque distribution, and it seems that there is no drive loss when escaping a corner. And probably thanks to PTV Plus (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus). The direction of the car body changes instantly as if it were a midship, and it is very easy to clear many corners.Riding the Carrera 4 GTS will give you the illusion that you are driving better.

Snow is piled up on the side of the road around Nomugi Pass, and the outside temperature is below 7 ℃. When the temperature drops below 7 ° C, the grip of the summer tires drops significantly, so I slowed down from here and headed toward Tateshina.

Take the Venus Line to Utsukushigahara

From Tateshina, take the Venus Line again and aim for the summit. The observation spots on the way were all crowded, so I went through. Only Fujimidai was vacant for some reason, so I took a short break here.

also,This road is one of the most famous roads in Japan. The scenery and the road are wonderful.

From Kirigamine, head for Utsukushigahara this time. The dusk is approaching, so I can't take it too slowly.

There are few cars aiming for Utsukushigahara at this time, and it is almost a chartered Venus line. On the way, I passed the bright red Mazda Roadster. I remembered that it matched the scenery very well and was beautiful, but later it seemed to be a reader of the blog, and I received a comment on Instagram. During touring,The number of opportunities for blog readers to say "I saw it" is increasing year by year.I'm glad that the number of readers is increasing.

Utsukushigahara was really cold and the wind was strong, so I left early. I went back the way I came and proceeded to 911 to today's inn, Lake Suwa.

Aim for Toyama

The morning of the second day. Today isWATAI was supposed to meet up with a group of people around Toyama. Well, I read the time that I wish I could meet for lunch around 12 o'clock, so I went sightseeing on Lake Suwa for a while, and after going through an unplanned road, I went west on R158.

Then, there was a message on the smartphone, and it was said that they gathered at the Toyama store at 11 o'clock. Looking at the time required for navigation, it arrived at around 12:15, so I couldn't make it at all.

For the time being, I hurry ahead, but no matter how I think about it, it's impossible at 11 o'clock. ThenOne Porsche in the group is stuck at a gas station due to troubleWas contacted.

If this is the case, it may be possible to make it in time.

With that in mind, I rolled up the old road of Abo Pass with crackles and pebbles, and ran up the Impreza approaching from behind. At the point where you went down the pass and joined the original new road, by contact from the other party"I decided to leave the broken car."

I can not continue. can not be in time.

I told the other party, "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be in time."I have to give up the merger.I regret that I might have made it in time if I didn't make a detour and started early with a little more time.

Arimine forest road

I changed my mind and decided to aim for Lake Arimine. Arimine-rindo is a road I've always wanted to see. From R471, enter "Hietsu Kogen Ten no Yugao no Michi". This is a great road.It can be said that this touring is the number one free-running road.

There is almost no traffic to the tollhouse on the Arimine-rindo. The pavement is good and you can enjoy both straight and winding sections, which is a fun road. Set to sports mode and run through in 2nd, 3rd and 4th speed while making full use of the paddle. The sound that sounds like "Goon!" From around 3000 rpm is unique to GTS. It's a wonderful sound.

With GT3, there is a sound that can only be heard at 4000 rpm or higher, no, at higher revs. With GTS, you can listen from around 3000 rpm to around 4000.. Of course, the sound in the high rev range is the overwhelming victory of GT3,It is a great pleasure to be able to run while always listening to good sounds in the common sense speed range.

Pay 1900 yen at the tollhouse of Arimine-rindo and enter the toll road section. The road around the lake is rather narrow and there are many blind corners, so be careful of oncoming vehicles. There were some scenes where oncoming vehicles suddenly appeared, so you should drive carefully here.

After passing Arimine Lake and heading toward Toyama, the road is wide and very comfortable. The autumn leaves are beautiful and it is also a wonderful tourist road.

Chirihama Nagisa Driveway from Noto Island

Enter Toyama and aim for Nanao City. Cross the Notojima Ohashi Bridge and land on Notojima. I wanted to go around Noto Island a little more slowly, but I wanted to arrive at Nagisa Driveway at sunset time, so sightseeing was also reasonable.Run fast on K257. Cross the Twin Bridge Noto to K48 and K249. These are also famous roads and are very easy to drive.

By the time we arrived at Chirihama Nagisa Driveway, the sun was setting and the sunset was very beautiful.

Last time I came with GT3Is new to my memory, but it's wonderful here even if I come. A superb view spot in a superb view. There are no guardrails, and there are only a few places in Japan where you can take pictures of cars with only the sea in the background.

Spend time slowly until the setting sun sets. Calm your mind in nature and give yourself some time to introspect. The time to stand quietly in the private space of the car is very calm. It's a good time to organize your mind and put together various thoughts about your work and life.

Go south on the Noto Satoyama Kaido with the shining Twilight Sea of Japan on your side. Aiming for a hotel in Hakusan City, I finished the second day of touring.
