My Family's Car Life

Exhilarating drive through Fuji Speedway in a Porsche 911! A Carrera T is expected to make its circuit debut next year!

Fuji Speedway in a hurry.

A Porsche driving event organized by 911DAYS magazine was held at Fuji Speedway in late March.

In his blog the day before, he wroteUnfortunately, my eldest son was sick, so my eldest daughter and I stayed home with him.Only husband and second daughter go there.I wrote it like that, and in fact that was my intention.

My husband was "just before we left."Why don't you come as much as you can?He said, "I will be following my husband's 911 with a GLB,

."If my oldest son vomited in the car while driving, I would have to deal with it alone.(In fact, my oldest son had a hard time on the way back from Fuji Speedway after vomiting several times in the Cayenne.) Considering the risk of getting very sick on a race track, it would be too dangerous and inconvenient for everyone."

I decided not to go.

However...

In the morning, only my husband and second daughter went out in the Porsche to arrive the day before, and my eldest son, who was a stay-at-home mom, cried a lot for a while. And for some reason, he started feeling better and better after that...

Also in the evening, when my husband arrived at the hotel and I saw the pictures he had sent, I gradually became excited too, and around 5:30 p.m. I told my eldest daughter, "Now, Fuji, you want to go?I asked her, "What do you mean?" and she said, "My eldest daughterI'm going, I'm going, I'm going! The answer was immediate.

She immediately called her husband and said, "I'm going to Fuji now.I told him, "I'm sorry.

What? You're coming now? Are you serious?

I was quite surprised (as I should have been). If you're coming, be careful and come slowly. He said.

From there, I took a quick bath, packed quickly, and left home at 6:30 p.m.

After buying coffee and gum at a 7-Eleven to help me sleep, I drove 450 km on the highway at night and arrived at the site at midnight.

I was able to safely participate in the next day's running session. Well, I thought to myself, I'm so physically strong (laughs).

Debut on the track next year in a Carrera T?

There were many other running events besides 911DAYS at this year's event, and the Fuji Speedway parking lot was very crowded with many sports cars.

The weather, although it wasn't sunny, managed to hold out, and it was fun to see some of the blog readers that I see every year.I'm glad I came after all.I thought, "I'm not going to be able to do that.

About 60 Porsches participated in this year's 911DAYS running event,First-timers" and "veterans."was a mixed bag, but it was a very spectacular running event for those who watched.

By the way, my husband participated in a 911 (991.1) Carrera 4GTS,

It is fun to drive on a circuit. And this time, I was able to drive in the Porsche race, and since everyone was a gentleman, I was able to drive in peace.
However...the 911 Carrera 4GTS was still a bit difficult to drive. I felt that the Boxster was faster, and in fact my times were faster. The four-wheel drive makes the car very stable, so it is difficult to know the limit of the car when taking curves.
."How far can we go?I don't know what I'm talking about, and as a result, there were many times when I was afraid to drive. In reality, I think I can do better than I think I can.
The rest is because the vehicle body is heavy,On the track, a lighter car is still faster.I thought that if I were to run again next time, I would like to do it in a different car.

He said.

After the two running slots were completed, the "Next year, Mina will alsoPlease join us at Carrera T!And everyone said to me, "I'm not sure what to do.No, no, I can't, I'll have my husband drive the Carrera T...I came home quickly with "I'm sorry," but... my husband said something like this.

if you go to the trouble (of doing something)Why don't you run in a Carrera T next year.I think the 992 is very fast to begin with, and it's a lightweight Carrera T. The 992 is very fast to begin with, and since it is a lightweight Carrera T, I think it will be a lot of fun.
But if you want to go running,At least a month in advance, practice on the simulator and thoroughly familiarize yourself with the Fuji Speedway course and track layout. You have to start from the beginning. Don't underestimate the circuit. It really is totally different from the feeling of driving on a regular road.
Also, lately I've been slowing down on turning the wheel on curves. It was smoother before. After I buy the Carrera T, maybe I should go to driving school for the first time in a while.

And...W

I see. This year I will buy my first Porsche, and next year, I will do my best to make my debut at my first track day!

...I haven't gotten to the point where I'm firmly committed to it yet, but now I'm thinking I might try in that direction (no, but it's still scary).

In any case, thank you to everyone who helped us at the circuit this time! We hope to see you again next year!
