Choosing a Car for Our Family

In the pastCar selection (what you want from a car) varies greatly depending on your family's situation at the time, etc.I wrote an article titled, "The Future of the Japanese Market," and recently I am becoming more and more aware of this fact.

When I started writing this blog and now, three years later, what my family wants in a car has really changed a lot!The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column.

Three years ago, when I started my blog, the car in my house wasBoxster GTS, Panamera Edition, Audi A3It was. The criteria for selecting a car were. The ride is solid and sportyThe "comfort" part was quite large, and ride comfort, interior equipment and luxury, and interior comfort were secondary.

Three years have passed since then, and the car that is currently in our house isPorsche Boxster GTS, Porsche Panamera Turbo, Porsche 911 GT3, Porsche 911 (964), Nissan Note NISMO e-POWER, BMW 320iThe first time the company was involved in the project, it became a "new" company.

And perhaps this fall, the Panamera Turbo will be replaced by the 911 Cabriolet.(Production has finally begun.)

...I mean, there are only two drivers in our house, but what the heck (-_-)

My husband, who is a car enthusiast...Sports car" and "Driving."As we pursued these elements, the number of cars that satisfied these requirements but also had different personalities and appeal increased, and so we have come to the present day.

As a result, her husband was at one pointTime to drive a sports car during the weekday commute, on weekends, and all year round.I also traveled long distances on a regular basis, so I had a car life. I also usually traveled long distances, so when I looked at the mileage of each car, I saw that they each had more than 10,000 kilometers per year.

The opposite of Porsche...

Recently, however, things have changed a bit for my husband. While he has long tasted the sports car, "I'm not a fan of theThe car you drive on a daily basis does not have to be that sporty. Rather, it is better to have a car that can be driven in a relaxed and leisurely manner. It seems that the feeling of "I'm not sure I can do this.

The children are also growing up.(Our oldest daughter is 6, our second is 3, and we're expecting our third in August.)When we go out in the car as a family, my children have started to ask me a lot of questions about the comfort of the car. They seem to have a strong yearning for a large minivan, murmuring enviously, "I wish I had that car, too...And, in addition, we are adding one more family member to our family...

I am beginning to get the vibe that all the cars in our house are biased toward sporty cars.

And my husband recently started saying this.

Before I bought a Porsche like I do now, what I was looking for in a car was.Driving as a sports carand "coupe styleI couldn't imagine an SUV or a car with a high ride height.
But now that I have owned a Boxster, a GT3, a 911, a McLaren, an SL, and now a certain amount of sports cars, I'm starting to think that it would be nice to have an SUV that I can drive without any fuss, a car that doesn't insist on being the black guy, and a car that I can relax in.
Late last year, when I was considering a Note NISMO as a commuter car, I thought, "It has to be sporty to some degree."You have the ultimate sports car, the GT3, so you don't have to be halfway sporty to drive it on a daily basis. The idea has changed to "I'm not sure I want to be a part of this.
Even so, when you drive a Porsche, you can't say, "I'm not a Porsche.I knew it was a Porsche!I know you're going to say, "You know what?

And.

Sure, I haven't driven as many different sports cars as my husband, but I've had my fair share of experience with them, and I'm sure I'll be able to say that I've had a lot of fun with them.I can certainly understand what my husband is saying these days.I think, "I'm not sure I'd be able to drive a MT car right now. If I could not drive a MT car now, the situation would be different, but when I can drive a MT-spec GT3 or Boxster with good practice, I think, "I wish the car I drive on a daily basis was not a car that goes into such a battle mode.I sometimes think, "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

My husband also says this.

I think the Cayenne would be nice, but...Even the Cayenne is sporty these days.I'm starting to think that even though it's an SUV, it's still a Porsche.
When you think about it.SUVs from Mercedes and BMW are more spacious and luxuriousand you don't have to add options one by one like a Porsche.Well equipped and luxurious interior from the start. The back seat is also spacious, and I think it looks quite nice. Now I'm interested in GLS or X7.Hey.
Well, I don't have the courage to buy a new car considering the price drop...but I may look for a used car when the time is right.

And.

BMW 320i also...

In addition to those changes, my husband's company started having everyone work remotely at the end of January due to the coronavirus, and after a few months of trying it, the company ran without any problems, so my husband will continue to work primarily remotely.

So I'm in a situation where I don't drive the Note e-POWER NISMO that I bought at the beginning of the year for commuting. It would be a waste not to drive it, even though it's a great car.We often talk about the "NISMO". And the kids love this Note NISMO.'Wide in the back! The air conditioner works well and it's cool!"and so on, and they usually want to ride more.

I, on the other hand, bought a BMW 320i last spring to be able to drive a manual transmission car, and I drive it every day. It's crazy hot.(Sure, the glass doesn't block light, it doesn't smoke, and the A/C doesn't work as well as it should w)Narrower in the back than the note. The "I'm not a fan of this..." and "I'm not a fan of this...(Sad...)

I've achieved my original goal of being able to drive a manual transmission car, and considering our family's overall situation, I think it might be a good idea to let go of the BMW and let me drive the NISMO on a regular basis."

I began to think.

However, neither of us has lost interest in cars by any means. My husband still watches youtube reviews of cars and reads magazines every day, and I still read "theBuy your own PorscheThe goal of "the car" is ongoing, so my feelings about the car remain the same.

However, I have been longing for a Porsche, the pinnacle of sports cars, and since the Porsche came to my home and I have driven it on various roads, I would say that I have come full circle a bit...

Since we already have a car that is focused on sports, I have come to feel that it is better to have a car that is comfortable for a family of five to drive in everyday life.I think that the people around me I think that I have been surrounded by

I own a Porsche and one SUV that can be comfortably used as a family car.

Although there are many people who say, "I see, that's what you meant! That's smart!I am now beginning to understand what is going on.

I'm sure something will be done soon, but I wonder what will happen to our car situation....
