Porsche Panamera

Advice and advice on purchasing a used Porsche Panamera (late 970)

Contact us to purchase a used Panamera

The Panamera has just been unveiled with a new, minor-changed model, and I was once asked about the best time to buy a Panamera on my blog. This time, I would like to introduce the content of that consultation and my husband's response.

The first thing I received was this consultation(Timing is the end of February 2020)The following is a list of the most common problems with the "C" in the "C" column.

I always enjoy reading your blog. I am pleased to announce that I have been selected for the "970 Panamera 3.6PDK, model year 15.We are considering the "A" and it is in good condition for its age.
Not in the edition, but in the sports-related options.Sprocket is attached and PASM is not attached.
interpoint (interword separation)18-inch tiresI'm wearing
Miraculous price of about 5 million yen despite its good condition.
Porsche Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles.Mileage is 35,000 km and the vehicle inspection expires this February.
Therefore, we are having a very difficult time making a decision without a test drive....
I would like to ask about the performance of the 15 model PDK, the power of the 3.6 NA, the ride quality (without PASM), whether it can be used as a commuter car (I commute about 20 km round trip in Tokyo), etc.Are you Porscheing properly?I would like to ask "what is the best way to do this?
The person in charge pointed out that "the engine may be a little sluggish," "the PDK seems a little jerky," and "there is no thrust like the flat-six.
Of course, we are prepared to resell the Panamera.
We have experience with 5 Porsches and currently own a 981 Boxster with MT, which is a 2 car system. Thank you very much for your cooperation.

In my family, we haveAt the time of your inquiry, I was driving a 971 Panamera, and before that, a 970 Panamera Edition. So I asked my husband about it and responded to him based on his experience, and his response was as follows.

As for the PDK workmanship, it's a late 970, in good condition, and in the low 5 million yen range!I do think it wasn't smooth going from first to second gear. But it didn't bother me much.
As for the power of the NA, of course I think the acceleration at the start is smoother with the turbo, but when I was driving the edition, I had no complaints about the more than sufficient power. I have no problem using it for commuting.
Edition to the 971 Panamera, and when I switched to the 971 Panamera. Can the 971 really surpass this when the edition is so well done? Isn't it impossible? It was such a well-made Porsche that we used to talk about it a lot.
However. My concern is the "no PASM" point.Without PASM, the ride may be a little less comfortable (in comparative terms). If you want to use it comfortably for commuting, it is better to have PASM.
So I would probably stick around a bit longer until a good condition Panamera with PASM is available...

The Panamera (970) that used to be in our house wasThe ride was very comfortable, and acceleration was natural and smooth, just like an NA engine.I remember it like that. My husband did not have high expectations at first because it was a plain Panamera at the time, but when he drove it, he was quite satisfied and liked it very much.

Even though the latest models are improved in many ways, I always think every time I drive a Porsche that it is truly amazing because even the earlier models, sedans and SUVs, still feel like Porsche.

So, some time after I replied to my husband's view, I received this e-mail from the person who consulted with me.

I am also very attracted to the truly elegant styling of the 970. I too had concerns about PASM, but the situation is what it is.I'd like to settle on a Panamera.I think! Thank you for having my back.

Well, I'm glad to hear you say that! It's been a few months since then and I hope you are enjoying your drive in the Panamera.

New Panamera, I'm curious.

The new Panamera was recently announced, and as usual, my husband has been reading related articles and watching videos of the Nürburgring run, but I haven't been able to talk to him about this because I haven't been able to see him yet after the birth.(It's not something I'd bother to call and talk about...)

So, when I see my husband again. How my husband, a longtime Panamera driver, felt about the new PanameraI will talk to them and hope to be able to write another article about that as well.

Incidentally, since I have previously written this article regarding the presence or absence of PASM (seeShould I install PASM, a popular option for Porsche?), I would be happy to take a look if you are interested.
