Porsche 911

New Porsche 911 Cabriolet (992) ordered with this optional spec.

The next car after the Panamera is theBare-bones new 911 (992 model)Moreover, it is also possible tocabriolet (soft-top convertible)My husband wrote an article about it, and I hope to share with you what options we gave him.(Today is April Fool's Day, but I'm not lying.)

New 911 (992) Cabriolet

The concept for this year's event was.911 Cabriolet with mature and comfortable specifications".(The Japanese version does not reflect the black 911 logo, so a European config is used.)

Standard interior black/mojave beige, partial leather seats

I'm very aware that full leather specs and even the dashboard would be better in leather.Normal interior this time. The beige color was chosen so that the car would look beautiful with the top open like a convertible.

Sport Seat

Seats are in regular sport seats. The "Sport Seat Plus" is good for sports driving, but it is also good for long periods of time. The sports seat plus is good for sports driving because it wraps up to the shoulders, but it is a little stiff for a long time. However, it is not selected this time because I want to ride in a relaxed manner.

Also. When the Sports Seat Plus is selected, the back of the seat is standard silver instead of the color of the seat. The back of the sheet can be further wood-grained. However, for this project, we decided to use a standard sheet because we thought the back of the sheet should be the same color as the sheet, considering the overall balance.

Seat ventilation (front)

If it's a convertible, I always want to put it on.This comes in handy during the hot summer months. I regretted not installing this option when I had the Boxster.

Sports Design Package

This was one of the options we were sure to choose this time around. In the cabriolet, the buttocks look quite large. That is attractive, but I would like to see a little more smartness.

Therefore, theThe Sport Design Package, which raises the rear license plate position, was selected. This visually reduces the rear thickness a bit and makes it appear sportier.

The front also has a c-shaped aero, giving it a slightly more aggressive look.

Also, if you look at the recent 992 Turbo S design, and the spy shots of the upcoming GT3 and GTS...The rear license plate number is positioned at the top, in the vein of this sport design package. Therefore, we predict that this design will be the mainstream design for the 992 sports series in the future.

One of the reasons for our choice was that we wanted to be a little ahead of the curve with this new design.

Sport Design Side Skirts

This is one of the options that I regretted when I bought the Boxster and also when I bought the GT3. I decided to go with it this time for the third time. The side skirts are now the same color as the body.It is good that the height of the car appears visually lower when viewed from the side.

Sport Chrono Package

Needless to say, this is a must-have. I wish they would make it a standard feature.

19"/ 20" Carrera wheels

This time, I was very lost here.

In the case of the bare Carrera, the brake disc size is 330 mm, one size smaller than the S's 350 mm. In such a situation, putting on the 20"/21" optional wheelsThe brake disc looks relatively small, and a wheel with fewer spokes would look scanty.

So, if we were to go to 20"/21" on the bare model, on balance we would want to add a PCCB with a large diameter disc, but that would be too expensive.

Also, in this issue. The standard 19"/20" size is adopted, as the emphasis is on riding comfort. The standard wheels are not that bad in design. The standard wheels are not that badly designed, and the size of the optional wheels would have been enough a long time ago, and the fact that they are not that poor looking was also a deciding factor.

LED headlights, including PDLS Plus

Further up, LED matrix headlights were previously selected for the Panamera Turbo, but we didn't have much use for them in our home application.Select one below with PDLS Plus.

PDLS Plus changes the angle of the light in conjunction with the handle, which is one of my favorite features.

Automatic anti-glare mirror

Not much for anti-glare either way, butComes with a set of features that make the windshield wipers automatic. The selection is made in the following manner.

Adaptive cruise control

Initially, I thought I didn't want it on my 911.It was chosen solely because it is a comfort-oriented concept this time.It is still very convenient to have it for long distance travel at high speeds.

lane change assistant

I even got a call from a dealer rep who said, "It's better to have it because it's a hood.It was recommended and selected as "the best choice. Indeed, Boxster and others are hopelessly blind from diagonally behind, so we decided to adopt it this time for safety reasons.

Porsche Entry & Drive Systems

Chosen at the strong request of his wife.I don't really care for it myself, but with kids, they often get on and off the train with a lot of luggage, so they said this would be helpful because they don't have to take out their keys every time they get on and off the train.

Multi-function GT Sport steering wheel

It's hard to tell from the name what kind of steering wheel this is, but the gist of it isGT sports steering wheel (small diameter sports steering wheel) with heated steering wheelThings.

I remember it was on an AMG S63 coupe and was very useful in the past, and I selected it because I thought it would be even more useful in the winter for a convertible car.

Storage Package

This is an option that comes with a net for small items on the passenger seat. Free of charge.

Porsche Crest Embossed Headrest

The Porsche mark will be engraved on the headrest portion of the seat. Since it is a convertible, I chose it because I thought it would be better to have it when viewed from the outside.

Dark Pardao Interior Package

Pretty expensive option, though.I like this grain because it is very cool and does not feel old-fashioned as one might imagine from "grain".If this is selected, in addition to the wood grain panel, the trim will also change from black to silver, brightening up the interior at once.

911 Logo High Gloss Black Finish

Normally, the rear grade emblem would be a silver "911 Carrera".The emblem was changed to "911" and then to a high-gloss black emblem. The first time, the company was in a position to do so.

I chose black because I felt the "911" silver on the Aventurine Green would have made the emblem stand out a bit too much.

Also, I've thought about putting a white circle on the tachometer as a color scheme.I stopped for balance because there are no white elements on the exterior or in other parts of the house.

911 Cabriolet and other particulars

And then...This time, he did not select the sports exhaust that he usually always puts in.

The reasons for this are, first, thatThis time the concept is a comfortable specificationIf you enjoy the sound, there is the 981 Boxster GTS and GT3 Touring. No need for sound in this car.and thatThe square muffler end of the normal exhaust looks like a turbo muffler and looks cool. The reason is that the square muffler ends look good on the rear bumper and the rear bumper of the Sport Design Package.

And, worst of all, it can be retrofitted if you want to add it later.(At this time, there is no retrofit option available, but I'm sure it will appear eventually.)So, I decided to forgo it this time.

I don't know when the car will be delivered yet, but I will wait patiently for the 911 Cabriolet with comfortable specifications to arrive at my home.
