An Ambitious Project by Porsche and Ananda Development

Ananda Development, one of Thailand’s leading property developers, has partnered with Porsche Lifestyle Group to announce plans for Porsche Design Tower Bangkok—the first Porsche Design Tower in Asia.

The project will be located on Sukhumvit Soi 38 in Bangkok. At a remarkable 1 million baht (approximately ¥4 million) per square meter, it is set to become Thailand’s most expensive condominium.

Porsche Design Towers are already planned or established in Miami and Stuttgart, making the Bangkok project the first in Asia and the third worldwide. This ultra-luxury branded residence aims to bring the Porsche brand’s distinctive design vision to life in a residential setting.

Just 22 Ultra-Luxury Residences

According to Chanond Ruangkritya, president and CEO of Ananda Development, the project will offer just 22 residences. Notably, buyers won’t simply need the means to afford one: Porsche and Ananda will jointly select purchasers, following the approach used for Porsche-branded residential developments.

As for eligibility, Ruangkritya reportedly said that buyers do not need to own a Porsche. The Porsche Group has several brands in its portfolio, including Lamborghini and Bentley, so owners of those marques may also be eligible.

Lavish Amenities and Expansive Residences

Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will offer duplex and quadruplex residences, ranging from 525 to 1,135 square meters—exceptionally spacious by condominium standards. Prices are expected to range from 525 million baht (approximately ¥2.1 billion) to 1.4 billion baht (approximately ¥5.6 billion), making this the most expensive condominium in Thailand.

Construction is scheduled to begin next year, with completion expected by the end of 2028. The project’s total sales value is forecast to reach 15 billion baht (approximately ¥60 billion).

What the Tower Could Mean for Bangkok’s Property Market

Prasart Taedullayasatit, chief operating officer of Ananda Development, reportedly said that as Bangkok emerges as a global destination, branded residences are a natural fit for prime locations. The project could set a new benchmark for the city’s property market while meeting demand for homes among the ultra-wealthy.

Taedullayasatit also noted that the buyer-selection process could help screen out gray-market activity—an outcome that may be important for maintaining a healthy property market.

Porsche Design Tower Bangkok is set to bring a fresh dimension to Thailand’s property market and could mark an important step in establishing Bangkok as a global destination for ultra-luxury real estate.

The project combines the appeal of the Porsche brand with Ananda Development’s property expertise, making it one to watch. Here’s hoping a Porsche Design Tower Tokyo opens in Japan someday, too—even if I can’t afford to live there!
