This is the first time I am commenting on this consultation, in case it is of any help to you.
I too am looking for a pleasant sound for my car first and foremost.
I am currently driving a Boxster GTS 4.0 MT and after watching Mina's 981 Boxster engine sound video, I was quite excited about the sound as it is an NA 6 cylinder, but unfortunately it was not very satisfactory for me.
Even with the sport exhaust on, the valve closes once at about 1600 rpm and the sound is much quieter.
Beyond that, it still sounds like a six-cylinder and is just about satisfactory.
At around 5000 rpm, a squeal-like sound begins to emerge, which is a little promising, but from 6000 rpm onward, the high sound is drowned out by a low booming sound, which is very disappointing.
With the sport exhaust off, you cannot hear the sound from 4800 rpm, which is also disappointing.
In the end, I can't hear the piercing, pleasing sound of the video in GTS 4.0, and I'm willing to let it go.

The 981GTS and the 718GTS have different engines, so they don't sound the same, unfortunately.
The 981 has a wide range of sound, and as the RPMs rise, it sensuously resonates from low to pleasant highs, but
