Nissan Note e-POWER Nismo S, General Comments
Finally, I asked my husband to write a general review, which is below.
When I bought this car, my first thought was.Very many people do not understand this e-POWER system.That's what I mean.
They think they need to be recharged, or they think they're just like any other hybrid vehicle that assists the engine. I am surrounded by a lot of car enthusiasts, but even among thoseVery few understood that it was a 100% motor-driven car.I was surprised to see that.
What makes this car so special is thatUnparalleled torque and superb response from the motor driveIt is.The NISMO S in particular is a grade that clearly shows its characteristics.I think.
In other companies' well-selling hybrids, there is a large discrepancy between the accelerator pedal position and vehicle speed, and many people who are looking for driving feel uncomfortable with this discrepancy. However, this is not the case with the e-POWER. It is truly a pleasure to drive, and the torque of the motor is very pleasant.
At least for me, the response and acceleration are totally satisfying, and I've had several of my hardcore Porsche-driving friends drive it, and they're all saying the same thing: "It's just so much fun."This is amazing!" "This is amazing!" I want one!"They say.(There is a Porsche driver who happened to be considering the same model at the same time as me and actually already ordered it)
On the other hand, the suspension is well made for the price, although there are some rough edges. AndIt is painfully enjoyable to twist and turn its rough ride and handling with technique.But if you're going to put the NISMO badge under the sun, you're going to have to spend more, like AMG and M.On the one hand, I think that quality and sophistication could be added.
The fuel consumption is about 1000 km, using mainly eco mode for highway, city driving, commuting, and mountain roads, and occasionally using S mode.About 16.2km/L when driving without hesitation and with no awareness of fuel consumption at all.I'm used to the fuel economy of Porsches. As someone who is used to Porsche's fuel economy, I am very satisfied with it and it is a dream come true, but if you look at this car as an eco-car, it is probably a bad one.(Incidentally, I recorded 22.6 km/L when I drove very carefully with this car on a commuting course, which is about 9 km/L with the Panamera Turbo.)
However, I think 16km/L is quite worth it for such a taste of fun, response, and acceleration. Is it better to drive a fuel-efficient hybrid car as if you were holding your breath, or do you want to enjoy the added bonus of "fun" even if you have to pay a little more for the same driving experience?
At the very least, the Note e-POWER NISMO S should be driven by those who seek the latter. It is such a car.

I am considering buying a car for my wife for the next term, but I have to choose a car that I can enjoy driving to some extent, so I have been test-driving cars day and night. Then I read the master's impression and thought, "I see! There's also the Note!" I went to the dealership.
I test drove two vehicles, the NISMO 1200cc gasoline and the e-POWER standard model, and the gasoline model is not very good. In particular, the feeling and driving feel of the manual transmission seemed to be about two generations old. However, the "e-POWER" was an eye-opener! Having experienced the Mitsubishi iMeve and Tesla in the past, I knew the high potential of EVs, but this motor-driven system, the one-pedal concept, and the skillful control of the motor were just wonderful. I thought it was possible to have some sport driving with just pedal work.
It must be fun to have NISMO suspension on this.
Incidentally, my car is a "GOLF 5 GTI", so the NISMO suspension is OK for me personally (not for my family).
Now it is up to my wife, who is very particular about driving, to convince me.

I feel that switching between a one-pedal car and a conventional pedal-operated car would be a mistake.

My mother, who is in her 70s, got used to it very quickly. Also, people who usually operate the accelerator only by simply turning it on and off may have difficulty getting used to it, but those who have learned the correct operation of stepping on the accelerator slowly and pulling it out slowly will soon get used to it.
Also, I wouldn't make the mistake of switching from that to a conventional car at all. One pedal is nothing special, just a super strong "engine brake" as in engine cars. If you can stop with the "engine brake" alone, you don't brake at all, and if that deceleration is not enough, you usually brake. There is a lot of information that dares to write that one-pedal is bad, so don't be misled".
I also drive a regular AT or MT car after driving a notebook, and I have never made a mistake ^^^.
