What you'll learn about driving a Porsche Boxster followed by a Panamera.

Porsche Panamera

Panamera and Boxster

Come to think of it, I haven't blogged much about the Panamera lately. Since we are limited to two cars in our home parking lot, we have rented several other parking spaces. AndAs for the Panamera, it's been sitting in a parking lot a little ways from my house for a while, so I haven't had a chance to get to it lately. The first is the "I" in "I".

However, I didn't want the battery to run up, so the other day I asked the "Would you swap the Panamera for the Boxster...We talked about "the best way to get to know each other," and I decided to go there on my way to work.

Our Boxster is a 981GTS.The ride is clearly more supple and smooth than immediately after delivery.Compared to the GT3, it is much more comfortable. On this day, I drove the Boxster on the Hanshin Expressway, and was impressed by its suppleness without uncomfortable bumps on the road joints, and it is a really nice car to drive anywhere.

However, there were so many Orbis on the Hanshin Expressway that I did not enjoy it at all (-_-).

Finally, the Panamera.

Then, on the way home from work, I decided to pick up the Panamera. The Panamera, which I hadn't seen in a long time in the parking lot, had tremendous power and seemed bigger than ever. I wondered how I would feel if I drove the Panamera after the Boxster.

First of all, I was surprised when I started the engine.

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Our Panamera Turbo also has a sport exhaust, so I think the engine is louder than all Panamera models, but in terms of volume.About the same as the Boxster GTS!The sound of the engine was so loud that it could be felt as "the sound of the engine.

Perhaps it was too much because I had not moved it for a while and it was cold and chilly that day.

And my first impression after moving the Panamera slowly was.Heaviness of the car bodyIt's "heavy. It is extremely heavy. But it's not heavy in the bad sense of heavy and heavy, it's more like the dignity of a king..."I guess this is what I mean by different car ratings. There was a sense of gravity that could be felt.

After all, it is completely different from the Boxster.(The actual weight of the Boxster is also 1.3 tons, while the Panamera weighs about 2 tons)

However, the Panamera 4S, which I had the opportunity to test-drive before, seemed rather nimble and smooth on the road. The Panamera Turbo has a sense of heft.I think that is what this means.

And the next thing I felt was.Smoothness of rideI mentioned earlier that the 981 Boxster GTS also had a smoother and more moist ride compared to the car right after delivery, but it is still nothing compared to the 981 Boxster GTS. It's more like a wet and smooth ride...(Too poorly worded). The car is indeed a luxury sports car.

Of course, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is more moist and smooth, so it is a bit stiff compared to those luxury sedans, but it is still a Porsche. The smoothness and comfort of the Panamera's ride is outstanding.I thought.

Monster, Panamera Turbo

Also, while the Boxster's sense of power is quite fun in town, I found the Panamera Turbo to be a different kind of fun.

With just a little pressure on the accelerator pedal, the driver can feel the powerful acceleration. The acceleration feels as if "only about 21 TP3T of the 1000 available power is being used.Still has tremendous power.I got a tremendous sense of the monster that is "W," and it was kind of chilling.

Also, unlike the Boxster, it is a four-wheel-drive vehicle, so the tires are firmly on the ground, giving it a great sense of ground contact and security.(And of course the Boxster's grounding is amazing)

Also, this is not because it is a Panamera, but because of the difference between AT and MT.I was also surprised again at how smooth the Panamera's PDK is.The shifting was so smooth, as if nothing was happening, that I was embarrassed to realize how bad I am at driving a manual car.

Driving a manual car is fun, but for an amateur driver like myself, I felt that PDK is by far the smoothest and quickest way to accelerate and to fully demonstrate the performance of the car.

My husband thinks Panamera

When I used to drive a Panamera every day, I thought it was a nice car, but I didn't really appreciate it.When you drive a Panamera after having driven different cars and having something to compare it with, you can understand more that the Panamera is a tremendously good car!The company has now become a

Of course, the Boxster is a great car, too.But the Boxster and the Panamera have a completely different appeal.I thought it was a good idea. And yetBraking and handling are common PorscheThe result was that I once again thought, "Wow, Porsche is amazing.

Later, my husband also went to Ashiu in his Panamera after a long time, and he had this to say about the Panamera.

The Panamera is a very nice car after all. Of course, it is totally different from the Note e-POWER NISMO S. That car is fun too, butI'm sorry, but it's laughably different. It's so smooth.
Also, the road surface tracking and ground feel is amazing. Even when turning a curve in Ashiu, the car follows the curve as if it were cutting into it, without increasing its speed or bulging out. And that's despite the fact that it's such a big car.
I've tried running with it on Sports Plus and it's awesome. No, really.I still feel like I can do more and more.I did.
I'm really glad to see thatA car is a car that numbs your senses when you drive it every day.Nah. Also, I've been thinking lately that I'd rather drive a higher-end car than a lower-end car.I felt the difference more clearly when I drove a higher-end model from a lower-end model.I feel like I understand exactly what makes that car tick.

He raved about it.

Well, the Panamera is a really nice car. There is talk of replacing the Panamera with another car before the inspection, but I'm thinking nowadays, "It's such a nice car, I'd like to keep driving it without replacing it.

In fact, it also helps me improve my driving technique by having several different vehicles.
(Of course, you can't just ride along aimlessly.)
Also, there are a lot of media and car enthusiasts who would say that the weight of a car is "evil".
Weight creates "good taste" depending on the direction you want to go.
The moist engine turnover is also more pronounced with heavier moving parts in the engine.
The Panamera's movement is moist and supple, which I believe is due to its weight and long wheelbase.
(The great thing about Porsche is that it still retains the sporting feel of the physically disadvantaged Panamera.)
I think it's time for me to buy a new car too. A heavy one (laughs).

The weight of the car is what makes it taste good, it really is.
If the Panamera were a regular luxury sedan, I'd just say, "That's a nice car."

The fact that you can drive so sporty with that thing...
      I am really surprised.

      >I think it's time for me to buy a new car. A heavy one.
Oh by all means (LOL)!!! Let me know again what you decide to make of it!

  2. there (place physically distant from both speaker and listener)

I used to look forward to this post every time, but this installation Orbis thing has turned me off!
What kind of driving would it be like without Orbis?
As a fellow Porsche driver, I get that feeling, but I'm not sure I should express it...
    It's just my opinion.

We apologize for any discomfort this may have caused.
The Orbis on the Hanshin Expressway is often reacted to by the radar detector installed in the car, which is why I used that expression.
I have children and am in a position to write this kind of blog, so I try to drive safely on a regular basis.
We will continue to be careful in the future.

  3. good luck

Nice to meet you. I am always looking at your website. I live in Ashiya and am fascinated by Porsche. I hope one day you will write an article about Porsche Car Connect!

    • Mina.Mina.

      Yoshikichi.
Thank you for visiting my blog!
I've received comments about Porsche Car Connect before, asking me to write about it.
I had written about it only briefly before, but I thought I should write about it sometime.

I am not familiar with these types of systems, but I will ask my husband.
      Thank you!
