Family drive in a Porsche 911 (air-cooled 964). Would you still prefer to go for a drive alone?

My Family's Car Life

Long time, air-cooled Porsche 911 (964)

The other day.Four family members in an air-cooled Porsche 911 (964) to visit the graves of both families. We went. It had been more than a year and a half since my family of four took an air-cooled Porsche for a medium-distance drive.

The last time the four of us rode air-cooled, my oldest daughter got in the passenger seat because the kids were fighting in the back seat, so I had to sit in the back seat halfway through the ride.It was very hard to travel on the highway with my head stuck to the ceiling...

So I don't have a good image about four people in an air-cooled Porsche. The kids are listening better this time around, so I think they'll be fine. This was called the "I'm sorry.

It was a beautiful day and a perfect day for a drive. But the childrenDirect sunlight shining overhead is hot, hot, hot.And when I looked at them, they both had bright red faces. I guess air-cooled Porsches were much hotter than modern Porsches....

The children took off their clothes and socks, and the air conditioning was on in the car.Too hot back there...The children's frustration was maxed out when he said(Seating in front was usually cooler)We managed to keep the children calm as we drove down the highway. We managed to keep the children calm as we drove down the highway.

Meanwhile, I was stuck the whole time with my luggage at my feet and cream puffs I bought at a cake shop near my house on my lap. By the way, this is what the passenger seat looked like the last time I rode with my family (laughs).

Also, and I'm sure this is largely because I'm pregnant now(Already 7 months pregnant), ,It was hard to get too much information transmitted from the road.(Sweating)

Not that it's a bad ride.I can feel the road conditions through my hips and stomach, and the road noise is quite loud because it is a highway. So, they were much more tired than modern Porsches.

For the driver, the amount of information in this air-cooled Porsche is a plus, but for the person sitting in the cramped passenger seat, it's a bit too much information...and by the end, I was too.

After all, it's hard to drive mid-distance with my family in an air-cooled car... I'll try to bear it somehow, imagining the comfort of a Panamera... (-_-)

The tension was dropping, and my husband was saying things like, "I'm sorry.

After all, riding alone is very different from riding with four people.I'm more bishy when I'm driving alone...

and so on, but we managed to arrive at our destination.

Is an air-cooled Porsche only for one person?

Then I got out of the car and looked at the 964 again. How could four people fit in such a small car?It was so compact that I was impressed.

A previous photo of a Panamera and a 964 side by side.

Air-cooled Porsche is good to drive alone.

As it was nighttime on the way home, the temperature was a little chilly, and the children, tired from playing, fell asleep as soon as we got into the car. The temperature was a bit chilly at night, and the children, tired from playing, fell asleep immediately after getting into the car.It was nice to be a passenger in an air-cooled Porsche on the highway at night.

At night, there was little information coming in from the visual sense, and the orange meter surrounds in the interior were quite fantastic, creating a nice atmosphere.

My husband also reiterated that

The 964 is really nice to turn around. Especially, the gentle curves on highways are the best.It feels like it's going to transfer to the tires just like I thought it would. Also, changing lanes is so much more comfortable. It's amazing that a car that was made 30 years ago can turn so fast and so well.
I think this would be much better if they made it look like a new car with new suspension and other parts.

He said.

However, this time I drove an air-cooled Porsche with my family. After all, an air-cooled Porsche is a car that is best driven alone. It is a car to be enjoyed as a team between the driver and the car.I felt again, "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.

Even though the 911 has 2+2 seats, it is still a sports car. Well, it may be that I am a pregnant woman with a big belly, so I get tired more easily than usual.

When you think about it.Modern 911s are designed to be comfortable for passengers, so that's a terrific evolution, too!I thought again. I'll go for another drive alone when I get settled again too!

    Good morning.
Pregnant women put a lot of stress on their lower back, so you can apply a urethane cushion to the bucket seat of a sports car to make it easier. Please try it.

      Mr. Side Machine.
      My belly is getting much bigger and things are not going as usual ^^;
Thank you for sharing this valuable information!

    Thank you very much.
Oh no, it was a tough time for you, wasn't it?
You did a great job with the 964, even though you also have the Pana.

After all, the rear seat of a 911 is an emergency for a short period of time, right?

    When my children were small, there were times when four of us rode together (^-^;

Is it a car for driving pleasure? (^_^)

      Thank you for everything!
      >You did a great job with the 964, even though you also have Panas.
Yes, I totally should have gone with the Panamera (laughs).

If the weather had been a little colder, the children might have enjoyed the ride.
(The kids seem to like the way the 964 fits snugly in the back seat.)

I'm sure my husband would love to go for a ride when the curfew subsides.
I wonder if it will be too hot in summer then...etc.

I hope things will settle down soon.
