Voices Reaching the Porsche Blog

This Porsche blog was launched in June 2017. With my husband’s help, we decided to seriously run the blog and switched from Hatena Bookmark to our own domain in April 2018.

Since then, we have been continuously improving and writing articles, and it’s hard to believe that almost three years have passed.

Over time, we have received many messages after consulting about Porsche purchases saying, “I bought one!” or “This blog inspired me to buy a Porsche!”

We are truly grateful.

Just the other day, my husband and I talked:

We’ve received so many messages saying they bought a Porsche because of this blog, but I wonder how many messages we’ve actually gotten in total.

So we decided to count them.

Those Who Purchased a Porsche

Right away, we checked the messages and SNS comments we’ve received so far, and amazingly, we found 57 messages from people saying, “I bought a Porsche after reading this blog.”

Since some older comments and Twitter mentions might have been missed, the actual number could be even higher.

Here’s the breakdown of purchased models:

・Panamera: 12
・911: 14
・Macan / Cayenne: 3
・Taycan: 1
・Total: 57

We’ve even received messages from Taycan buyers already… amazing…!

Here, we’d like to share some excerpts from the messages we received:

In November 2019, I ordered a 992 base Carrera and took delivery on the first weekend of the state of emergency, April 11.
I first found this blog through an article about steering geometry.
Since then, I got hooked on the articles, and when I test drove at a nearby Porsche Center, old dreams came flooding back, and I ended up ordering just two weeks later. Thanks to this blog, I was able to remember a dream I had left behind.

Thanks to this blog, I was able to fulfill a childhood dream and today received my first Porsche (992 left-hand drive!) after waiting 9 months. I gained a lot of information here and, most importantly, the courage to buy.

After test-driving various grades of the 718 Cayman since the end of last year and really struggling to decide, reading this blog gave me the push I needed. Also, since the 6MT order resumed, I placed an order for the 718 Cayman (base model).
It seems they are reallocating PDK slots to MT, so delivery might take a bit longer… but I’m looking forward to it. I plan to keep using this blog as a reference.

Using your blog as a reference, I have decided to purchase a Taycan. I had been considering my next car for a long time, and Porsche wasn’t initially on the list, but I learned about its appeal through your blog and ultimately chose to buy one.

A Porsche Blog Where We Can Write Freely

We read every message we receive as a couple, and my husband says this:

Since only a small percentage of readers probably take the time to send messages, even if we generously estimate that these messages represent just 10%, it means over 570 people might have bought a Porsche because of this blog.
That’s truly wonderful.

We simply share our experiences and thoughts freely, yet we’re so happy to be able to help so many people, even in a small way. Thank you so much. (By the way, since this is just a personal blog, we don’t earn a single yen from it… haha)

Because this is a personal blog with no conflicting interests involved, we can write honest opinions, and we hope to continue sharing in our own style going forward.
