Our family's choice of car has changed. Driving pleasure or comfort?

My Family's Car Life

Driving or comfort?

In the past, the family car was also used as athe first (harvest, catch) of the seasonOur family has been looking for "the best of the best," but things have changed a bit recently.

This is because my husband, who currently owns a Boxster (981GTS) and a 911 (964C2), has been in the market for a while.

These two cars are more than enough for a car that enjoys driving. Even if you look for a family car that is more focused on driving, it will never be as good as the 981 or 964. If that's the case, I'd rather have aIt might be better to choose a family car that is more comfortable."

He said.

Of course, the "Running, stopping, turningWe want to seek basic performance as a car, but beyond thatThe feeling of oneness between man and horse, the handling that is effortless even on winding roads, and the strong acceleration when merging onto the highway.I don't need the "etc."....

We've also received a lot of feedback from acquaintances and readers who have said, "You can also use a more comfortable car from another manufacturer as a family car! After much consideration, a GLB came to our house the other day as a family car.

Mercedes-Benz GLB

Receive the comfort of GLB.

The GLB has been delivered and I have been riding it frequently, and it is really comfortable and easy.

Especially, I feel comfortable (laughs).

Porsche, the moment you start the engine and get behind the steering wheel, you can't help but think, "Let's run!I often feel like I am on the offensive, "I'm not a good person. Especially when it comes to the GT3 (MT) that used to be in our home, my husband

In GT3, there is no escape for the driver. It's like driving as a team with the car, so you can't let your guard down.

said, but while that is part of the fun, I think there are inevitably some aspects that make it difficult to ride casually.

On the other hand, GLBs (especially since ours is a 200d) can be driven slowly and leisurely.

I even drove down the highway the other day.The Active Distance Assist Distronic (a function that follows the car in front) was also really comfortable and easy.I feel safe leaving the car in charge, and when I arrive at my destination, I can say, "I've been there. What? You arrived already? It was so much like a "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing.

Also, in the case of Mercedes-BenzThe interior is spectacular and luxurious, the meter area is cool, and it feels great to drive. The interior of the car illuminated at night, ambient lights, etc. are very stylish and relaxing.

This comfort is a big hit with the children, so the GLB has quickly become a favorite of all, an easy and comfortable ride for the whole family.

Current Car Life

A car that is fun to drive and a car that is comfortable and easy.

Of course, it would be best if we could find a car that could satisfy both in one vehicle, but that would increase the vehicle's size, and often the width of the vehicle would be out of the question, making it difficult for our family to make a choice at this time.

In that sense, our home now isA car that is fun to drive and a car that is comfortable for the family to travel in.has landed on the point that they should be completely separate.

Sushi is good, steak is good, but mixing both is not quite right... (too bad analogy...)

Right now, my three children are still small, so I have settled into this kind of car lifestyle, but I am sure that as circumstances change, my criteria for choosing a car will change rapidly.

In the future, it will be possible to use the "I still want to drive a Panamera again...Although the feeling of "I'll never change," I hope I can continue to enjoy the car life of the moment as my family grows and circumstances change.

Funny how things change as your car life, you grow, and your family grows!
I also drive a FWD GLB200d, and it is a really nerve-wracking car. The car has excellent lane keeping when driving at high speeds, so I almost leave the driving to the car. It is easy to maneuver around town because of its width and good fuel economy, so I can drive it with ease.
This is a 991.1turboS is my hobby car, but I still have to be a little more careful with the Porsche compared to the GLB200d. If you don't go to the track, you don't need 560 hp....
I'd love it if I'm happy, and my family is too, in my car life!

I look forward to helping you choose the right car for your son as he grows up, and to seeing your next potential vehicle!!!

      Thank you!
It's really interesting that what we want from our cars changes so much depending on our family situation ^^^.

      I see you are driving a GLB200d!
As you say, it is comfortable to ride with good gas mileage and no worries about the width of the car.

      Please keep 'em coming!

I always enjoy reading your articles.
I very much agree with this article.
I am looking for a car for my family (me, my wife, 3 and 1 year old) with exactly the same feelings.
The car I enjoy driving has air-cooling, and the BMW E46 M3 is my choice for a car that I can drive with my family and enjoy driving (just barely enough for family use...lol).
I am looking for a car for my wife during the summer and a car for the family during the winter, since we live in a snowy country and it is very hard to go out with M3 in winter.
Right now we have a Macan GTS, but it is somewhat cramped inside and we are considering something a little larger.
I don't know if you accept these requests, but is there any opportunity to test drive a Range Rover Sport or similar?
I would love to hear your impressions if you have any.
I am struggling with the Cayenne Coupe.
Please consider this within a reasonable range.

Thank you for reading our blog!

      Oh yes!
I envy you with your wonderful car life...!

I haven't had a chance to test drive a Range Rover so far... sorry!

My husband's brother was on it, although he doesn't seem to be on it much either.
I can't really compare it to the Cayenne Coupe in the same category because I think they are quite different in nature."
