If I buy the new 911 GT3 Touring Package, what are the specs? What about a front lift?

Porsche 911

My husband had been working on aHe owned a 911 GT3 Touring (991 late model). He is very particular about options and specifications, and after months of agonizing over the sale, he made the decision to let it go this spring. Her husband, however, recently received a "If I were to buy the new 911 GT3 Touring Package (992 model), I would choose these specifications and optionsand showed me the configurator.

So, the following is just reference information as it is my personal preference.

Appearance of the 911GT3 Touring Package

Body color, etc.

Body color isGT Silver or Agate Grayto be. I am very personally interested in the new Shark Blue color, but would prefer to choose that in a feathered GT3. Due to the nature of the touring package, I avoided flashy colors for resale considerations. (Not that flashy colors are bad, but the used car market tends to favor colors that fit the nature and concept of the vehicle type.In the case of the touring package, flashy colors are slow on the used car market.(Conversely, models such as the RS are popular, even in flashy colors.)

Touring package has black exteriorwas selected. This is because I chose a lighter color, GT Silver. For example, I think that a darker color such as Gentian Blue would look better with a non-black exterior.

Wheels, etc.

Wheels, if you want to put on PCCBs with yellow calipers, you can use "Satin dark silver paint finish wheelsMake it a "+". Normal brakes with red calipers would be "Satin neodymium paint finish wheelsis my preference in terms of color balance.

light

Selected LED headlights black.Since this one opted for the Touring Package Black, the inside of the headlights were also black to match. By the way.LED matrix headlights are very useful for people who often drive on rural, dark highways and national roadsI guess, but it is totally unnecessary for city-centered people. Besides, from 992, even regular LEDs are insanely bright.

In the case of the 992, the impact on resale is expected to be minor and not that much of a plus factor, since the matrix headlights do not change the appearance of the lights that much.

Exclusive design Tail lights areI wanted to match the GT silver body and bring the rear together in a monotone atmosphere as it is.The selection was made because of the following reasons.

Roof, glass

Privacy glass was selected to provide continuity with the black carbon roof.

It is unclear how much effect the lightweight carbon roof will have on driving performance, but we chose it for its design. For a bright color like GT Silver, a black roof makes the whole car look lowerI prefer it because of the I picked this one simply for the color, so it might be good for wrapping or something later.

Driving system options, etc.

PCCB

Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), expensive so I'm not sure, but it's a GT3 and if you use it mainly on public roads, I would still choose these. There is no brake dust, the braking power is excellent, and the touch is good. Even at full braking at very high speeds, there is a braking power "beyond" that is not found in normal brakes. I have experienced various PCCB Porsches since then, and they all have one thing in common. At very low speeds, the lightness of the car gives it a slightly springy ride, but at high speeds it becomes quite flat, giving it a comfortable and stable ride.

By the way.If you drive mainly on ordinary roads, durability is not a problem at all.In my experience, both pads and rotors wear remarkably little. Obviously, they last better than cast iron brakes. They are fine on the circuit a few times a year. However, if you go to Fuji Speedway, which is very demanding on brakes, I think regular brakes are better. I think that you should decide on your budget and whether you want the appearance of yellow calipers or not. In the case of PCCB for GT3, resale evaluation also has a positive effect, so the cost of PCCB will not be a total loss.

Sports Chrono, etc.

I would choose the Sport Chrono package because I wanted the dashboard stopwatch as an accent and the performance display on the PCM. This may not be a big plus assessment, but on the other hand, without it, theWhy no Spokuro if it's GT3?I think a large percentage of people think that "the

Front axle lift systemThis is a This isAs I wrote in a past article, mandatory option with or without sayingIn the case of the GT3, this is a point that has a significant impact on resale.

Interior of 911GT3 Touring Package

interior color

The interior color can be normal black, but theI want to add stitches since I'm going to go through the trouble. Therefore, we chose a leather interior with the same GT silver stitching as the exterior.

sheet

The seat is a touring package.Sports seat plusI decided to go with the I was satisfied with the 18-way order for the previous generation touring package, but I could not deny that the GT3 was a bit pricey since it does not include the memory function or the electric adjustment of the steering wheel. So I chose the 4-way this time. (For a winged GT3, I would choose full bucket seats. ) This is also a matter of choosing the specifications that match the car's concept.

Heated seats are not necessary since it is a coupe, but they were installed just in case.I would really like to choose ventilation, but there is no setting for GT3.

Silver gray seatbelts match the exterior GT silver.Another idea is to choose racing yellow, which would be cool to match the PCCB yellow. In this case, the gauges and stitching could also be yellow. (see below). When adding color, match it with some color on the exterior for a cohesive look.(If you suddenly do something like gaudy colors only for the meters, there seems to be a high probability that the property will be hard to move on the used market.)

In the case of the 992, the standard panel is textured enough, butThe Carbon Interior Package (high gloss) further enhances the texture. These easy-to-understand interior options tend to add to resale, so although they are expensive, there is little to lose.

Storage package is a free optionSo, there is no reason not to choose this option, since it will increase the number of small compartments.

These are the specifications for this new 911 GT3 Touring Package that my husband would consider buying.... I'll put the Porsche code below, if you would like to take a look at it as well.

Thank you very much for your prompt response to my recent comment.
    Each item was very helpful.
I installed PCCB on my Macan, but I didn't find it very useful and didn't install it on my next two cars.
But right now, the schedule for production slots seems to be mixed for all models.
It is going to be ahead of schedule. Patience.
The lingering summer heat is likely to continue, so please take care of your family.

Thank you, too, for the blog fodder!

      > However, it seems that the production quota schedule is currently confused for all models.
It is going to be ahead of schedule. Patience.

I see...! It seems that the overall situation is still very slow...
Thank you for your continued support!

I always enjoy looking at your site.

    Rubbing the front, isn't it?
I'm Cayenne, so I'm Hetchara (laughs)

I, who is a Cayenne rider, is also "finally considering 992 for the initial stage" and is glaring at the configurator who gives the same result many times. The selection of options has not progressed so much, and it is becoming difficult. .. ..

Do you need a front axle lift system for the 992 (bare carrera without sports design)? ??

No dealer sales required. It is necessary to ask a Porsche rider! !! I can't choose.

It's not a cheap option, so I'd appreciate it if you could give me some advice.

      Hello.
If it is 992 PASM normal chassis (not PASM sports chassis), it is basically unnecessary.
Unless I can go through steep slopes on a daily basis, I have never rubbed the entrance to a gas station or the slope of a multi-storey car park.
By the way, my 992 is a sports design package, but it still doesn't rub.

In the case of PASM sports chassis, I think it is better to attach a front lift.
Dealer officials also said that the sports chassis rubs even at the dealer's doorways.
