My husband recently had the chance to take a friend’s Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) for a test drive, and he’s written up his impressions. We hope you enjoy the report.

Porsche 911 Turbo S (992)

The Turbo is the flagship grade in the Porsche 911 lineup. It has sat at the top of the 911 range since the 930 generation, setting itself apart from the standard models. And the car we were lucky enough to drive this time was thelatest 911: the 992-generation Turbo S.

The “S” designation means it comes with nearly all the performance-focused options as standard.

This particular car has a stunningPython Greenfinish. There can’t be many Turbo S models in this color in Japan, making it a rare sight.

It looks even better in person than it does online.The vivid green gives the car a distinctly sporty character.

The interior features the Heritage Design Package.Atacama Beige leather, tanned using olive leaves, covers the seats and pairs beautifully with the green exterior.

In keeping with the Heritage package—and the tradition of Porsche special editions—the instrument cluster is illuminated in classic green.

Corduroy upholstery on the seat centers and door panels, along with a silver 911 badge on the dashboard trim, gives the cabin an unmistakably special feel.

Standout exterior options includea carbon-fiber roof, carbon-fiber mirror housings, and Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels.Even details you don’t immediately see have received attention: the engine-compartment lid, for example, is painted Titanium Grey. This car is loaded with options.
