Late Jan. 5: Delivered at Porsche Center

In the case of my 4E, the production quota was already secured.(Probably)So it seems that the car was delivered 5 months after the order was placed.

(4) At the time of delivery

I had been without a car for 11 years since I moved to the Tokyo metropolitan area in 2006 until 2017, and it had been 11 years since I became a car owner, so I was in a complete state of Urashima Taro from automotive information. Therefore. It happens all the time. It's nothing to get worked up about. Many people may say, "I'm not a hybrid car person," but I feel that I had a lot of experiences during the "first month or two after delivery" when I had no detailed knowledge about hybrid cars.

The engine won't start if the battery is 0 in (1) erectric.

On the day of delivery, the dealer representative told me that

If the erectric's battery charge reaches zero, the engine will not start. if you do not plan to ride for a week or so, please allow enough time to charge the battery to about 50% (enough for about 25 km). If the engine fails to start, we will arrange for an emergency tow truck. There will be no charge for the first three years, after which there will be a fee.

I was told. I said yes, butInwardly, I'm like, "What? Really?" I was honestly impatient.Indeed, when I signed the contract, I was asked, "You ride it maybe once a week, right?" I was asked, but I didn't think that was the caveat that the engine would not start when the erectric battery charge reaches zero.

My condominium is an underground mechanical multi-level parking garage, so there is no way to install a Panasonic charging port, but that doesn't mean I can't go back now.It would be a hassle to have to check the charge level before going home for the rest of the day."I remember thinking at the time.

It seems that Porsche headquarters took measures to address this issue, and soon after, the computer program was updated at the authorized factory, including my 4E Hybrid, so that the engine will start even if the battery charge is zero.

Just the other day, after driving with E-Power and the battery charge was zero, I turned the starter.(I was a little nervous.)The engine started properly. Then, right after the start in erectric, the gasoline engine started up with a VO-VO!Thanks to Porsche headquarters, lol.

The specifications stated that the car could travel 50 km in E-Power mode on a full charge, but two weeks after delivery, I borrowed a charging port at the Porsche Center and took a little over four hours to fully charge the battery, and the figures showed "44 km".

Why not 50 km?(Incidentally, the car had 49k miles on delivery.)

'Is the battery 10% already broken?' I thought so, and contacted the person in charge and had it inspected at the factory. However, when we inquired directly to the factory personnel about the inspection results, we received the reply, "It is normal.

According to the description. The computer calculated the distance that could be traveled on a full charge based on the current driving conditions, and the result was 44 km.This means that if the car is driven in an eco-friendly manner for a long period of time, it will be closer to 50 km. In other words, if the car is driven in an eco-friendly manner for a long period of time, it will be closer to the 50 km mark, but if the car is not driven in an eco-friendly manner or if the air conditioner is operated, the value will decrease.
In fact, theAfter a full charge overnight at a travel destination, 50km was displayed the next morning.was being displayed. Immediately after that, when I drove a few kilometers downhill without a signal, the display showed 52 km, which confirmed what the factory officials had told me. At that time, even this kind of information was not shared with the sales people in the field, and many of them were unaware of it.

(3) Vehicle width

The width limit of the parking space for the largest type of mechanical multi-level in my apartment building is 1950mm.The overall width listed in the 4E catalog that I had seen beforehand was 1937mmI thought I could make it because it wasWhen I looked at another person's clarification document for the Panamera 4E Hybrid, the width is listed as 1950mm.It was written.

Not wanting to damage the fenders, tires, or AW at the last minute entry, I checked with the dealer about "which is correct and the width of the car with 20" 315mm tires" but they could not give me a clear answer.

My car 971 Panamera 4E Hybrid

Nevertheless, despite the aboveI still respect Porsche for developing and manufacturing a wonderfully attractive sports car, and I still love my current car, the 971 Panamera 4E Hybrid.

However, if anyone is considering buying a used 2017 Panamera 4E Hybrid. It's a nice car, but you should check to see if the engine will start with zero charge."We have provided this information in the hope of conveying the real voices of those who have been involved in this project.

In the next issue, I will write about the great driving performance, attractiveness, actual fuel consumption, and charging-related information that I have experienced from actual ownership.

Thank you Mina, the administrator, for starting up the owner's file. I've been looking forward to it!

Hi Pol Pol 4E, thanks for the info on the 4Ehybrid! I ordered the very same 4EHybrid last month and am looking forward to taking delivery of my car in November. The engine won't start when the battery charge runs out...what? I thought that was a problem, but I see that has been fixed. The reason why I chose it is because I also thought "the future of Porsche Sport is Hybrid" (due to the influence of Le Mans). EV/HV by 2025". Will there be EV/HV 911s in the near future?
I see that the 4EHybrid, acceleration and torque are better than the 4S. I've actually never driven a Porsche itself since I signed the contract without a test drive. Various reviews have convinced me this is the way to go, lol, so my expectations are high! I'd love to post from here after I take delivery of the car and drive it for a while.

      Mr. SN.
Thank you for your comment! I read Pol Pol 4E's report and found a lot I didn't know about it.
However, I felt that it is still a good car, and I have renewed my interest in it ^^^.

      >I'd love to post from here after the car is delivered and I've been driving it for a while.

I would very much appreciate it! I'd be very interested to learn more about you, including the traffic situation in the U.S.!
Thank you for your continued support!

    Mr. SN.

Nice to meet you, hello, polpol4e. Thanks for your comment!

Indeed, there are articles about 911 also releasing a PHV model around 2020.
Will the EV "Taikan" be unveiled before then?

I am also new to Porsche, and I would like to introduce its great driving performance and charm in the second part of this article.
And we'd love to hear your thoughts on SN's 4E-Hybrid!

Let's keep this blog going with you all!

    Mina.
Understood. I look forward to more articles from you. Best regards!

    Mr. Pol Pol 4E.
After all, so is the 911. I live in Michigan, USA, and I really see a lot of Tesla these days. But I rarely see Porsche E-Hybrid. However, I feel like all manufacturers are finally getting serious about EV, PHV, and Porsche seems to be more aggressive than MB, BMW, and other German manufacturers. The Porsche E-Performance brochure I received says "We don't make compromises. We are already well under way. That much confidence, I wonder how much... I look forward to hearing more!
