Porsche 911 GT3 and Boxster GTS with meter rings

Porsche 911 Meter Rings
Recommended Car Accessories

My husband installed silver meter rings on the speedometers of his GT3 and Boxster and wrote an article about it. Please take a look if you would like to read it.

Porsche Meter Rings

I remember when the commemorative 911 was previously unveiled for the one millionth unit in total, I was very impressed with the chic wood interior and the chrome rings shining on the gauges.

One millionth anniversary 911 with Irish Green paint and Fuchs design wheels.

Actually, I'm trying to see if I can get this meter ring.I have contacted the dealer and they are trying to find it for me, but so far there is no way to get it.

I had previously bought and tried external meter rings from Yahoo! Auctions and Amazon, but they were weakly shiny, also full of plastic and thick, and very unacceptable to me personally. I also bought some chrome braid and tried making my own.The joints were very difficult to process, and this was also far from satisfactory.

Made by myself with braid. The joint on the ring in the middle is unacceptable.

SuncoastParts Meter Rings

And apart from asking the dealer, I was looking for meter rings on my own, and I found a famous American website for Porsche parts sales, theSuncoastPartsI learned the news that meter rings will be available (not genuine Porsche) at

I immediately tried to order it, but it was sold out and I could not buy it. After a few days of waiting...I bought it as soon as it was back on sale again, and it is very good.

The material is made of ABS plastic, so the texture is not so good to hold, and there are some burrs. However, the plating process is reasonably well done.Just the right amount of gloss, just like the other chrome parts of the interior.It is.

Installation is super easy: just peel off the double-sided tape and stick it on. However, since the double-sided tape is a little weak in adhesion, it is recommended that the tape be degreased with alcohol or the like beforehand.

This time, theI bought one for 911 and one for Boxster, but the one I received is the sameSo, it seems that the Boxster does not use the two outer rings since it has three gauges. By the way, there are some for Cayman, Macan, Cayenne, and Panamera.

Attached with double-sided tape

Texture is like this

Before installation

after installation

Also installed in Boxster.

When I installed it.I feel that the inorganic meter area has become all the more spectacular.The chrome rings are consistent with the air conditioner vents and the chrome rings on the stopwatch of the sport chrono, and the chrome rings are consistent with the chrome rings on the sport chrono.The balance when looking at the entire interior of the car is also very good.

It is a customization that can be removed at any time if you get tired of it, so if you are interested, why not give it a try?

  1. 991GT3 Touring Package with almost identical specifications

    I always enjoy looking at your site. Thank you for the information. I am looking forward to tomorrow as it will be the first time in about 3 months that I will be able to drive Tokyo-Fukushima on a day trip. I will also image the metering and consider whether or not to try it.

      I envy you driving from Tokyo to Fukushima, there seem to be many pleasant roads.

    Master Mina

    I, what is it around the gauges of a Porsche?
    I did not feel any discomfort.
    Until I read this.

    But if you read something like this, it's different.
    I feel a sense of harmony.
    Both the GT3 and the Cayman.

    Ah, ignorance is bliss, but knowing is vexation.
    It's a pity to hear it, it's a pity to see it...

    Do I have to order it?

      It is true that when you look at the meter area for a long time, it is strange to see the meter area without the meter attached, but it is not so strange to see the meter area with the meter attached.
      I feel a little lonely ^^;
      It doesn't seem to be sold by Porsche Genuine at the moment, so I guess I'll have to order it from them.
      I wish they sold them in Japan ^^^;

    Dear Mina, Master
    I always look forward to seeing them.
    After reading about this part in early August, I immediately tried to order it from SancoastParts and it was "sold out!"
    Since that day, it has become my daily routine to look at the site and see if the product is available for resale.
    The silver rings around the gauges certainly fit in nicely and look cool.
    I am assuming that this article has caused a sudden increase in orders.
    I look forward to reading your blog in the future. Please take care of yourself and update your blog to the extent that it does not affect your delivery.
    Lastly, when I look at SancoastParts every day, I can't resist popping in and ordering a rear wing for the Spyder.
    I was very impressed by the fact that it said it could be installed on a Boxster...

      It's true! I checked after your comment and sure enough, it was SOLD OUT ^^;
      Seems like that site sells a lot of stuff you can't buy in Japan!

      I'm sure you are very close to giving birth.
      Blogging is quite a refreshing change of pace, so I hope I can keep up this pace in the future!
