Was the Specification Wrong?

Yesterday, my husband said, “I was looking at the new Panamera Turbo specs you posted on the blog the other day, and I panicked because they didn’t match what we ordered!”

“Wait—what do you mean? You emailed me those as the final specs. Did I get them wrong when I wrote about them? Or—hang on—is this saying we only just discovered that we ordered the wrong spec, even though delivery is the day after tomorrow?! Σ(ﾟДﾟ)！？”

When I asked him, he said, “No, it’s fine. It looks like the final adjustments hadn’t been reflected in the specs I sent you.”

Apparently, the feature I’d called “Adaptive Cruise Control” was actually “Adaptive Cruise Control with Traffic Assist.” It was an option that H, our Porsche dealer representative, had strongly recommended, saying, “You’ll want to have this.”

Traffic Assist

Traffic Assist is a traffic-jam following system that, even at speeds below 60 km/h (about 37 mph), keeps the car in its lane and follows the vehicle ahead (or so I understand). Our Volkswagen Golf has the same feature, and I’ve tried it out before—it was incredibly convenient and comfortable. I can see it being especially useful when we’re caught in highway traffic.

Anyway, there wasn’t any mix-up with the order, so what a relief!

At last, tomorrow is delivery day for our new Panamera Turbo!

After picking up our eldest daughter from kindergarten, the whole family will head straight to the Porsche dealership. (My husband even took the afternoon off for the occasion… haha.)

I can hardly wait!
