How a Husband Changed His Wife Who Wasn’t Interested in Cars: A Story to Be Organized Soon
公開日:

She Wasn’t a Car Enthusiast
When my husband and I go to car events or the Royu Driveway and chat with fellow car lovers, the conversation often leads to comments like, “It’s great that you both enjoy cars as a couple.” Sometimes, people ask, “Was your wife always interested in cars?”
To that, I reply, “No, I originally had no interest in cars at all… I understood the Prius, but beyond that, I really didn’t know much and wasn’t interested in cars.”
What?! Really?! And yet, look at how things turned out…
People are often surprised, laughing.
Actually, my older brother is also a car enthusiast (he’s been driving Subaru Legacy manuals), and he’s been utterly amazed to see that “my sister, who had no interest in cars before marriage and was a paper driver for about 12 years after getting her license, is now driving a manual car.” (laughs)
And the one most surprised by this transformation is, above all, myself.
Winning Over My Wife
My husband is often asked by others about the “secret to how he changed his wife so much(she had zero interest in cars when they met but now drives a manual).” His answer is simple:
It’s easy. It’s all about presentation skills at home. It’s just like sales.
I see…
I once wrote a blog post titled ‘Five Things My Husband Did to Win Over His Car-Indifferent Wife and Buy a Porsche.‘ But honestly, I still don’t fully understand “how I, someone who wasn’t interested in cars, ended up like this.”
It feels like my husband waited patiently until I started showing some interest in cars, but at the same time, I feel like I was gently nudged toward it… (-_-)
Small changes happened in everyday life, and those accumulated until I completely turned around 180 degrees. But what exactly happened to me during these nearly 10 years since we met?
…Maybe if I unravel this decade, I might discover some amazing know-how (laughs)!?
At this stage in life, I don’t often get the chance to reflect on myself through company career training, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to
“organize and analyze what my husband has done to me over these 10 years” and “how he thought about and acted on winning over his wife”
That sounds interesting. Summarizing all that might even create a “Wife-Winning Guide for Car Lovers” instead of a Dragon Quest strategy guide (laughs).
Actually, starting next year, I’m thinking of creating another platform besides this blog where I can share even deeper content. So I’m preparing to unveil it there, and that’s what I’m working on these days.
