A Relentless Mindset

A mentor I deeply respect once told me, “The real test begins when you think you’ve reached your limit.”

When I was 27, something happened that made me think, “I can’t go on.” I felt I’d run out of options. Looking back now, I realize I’d charged headfirst into a dead end and boxed myself in.

Nearly eight years have passed since then. During that time, there have been plenty of moments when I’ve felt I’d reached my limit. But each time, I’ve struggled to find a way through—telling myself, “I’ll get through this somehow” and “There must be something I can do.” As a result, the ceiling I once thought was my limit has risen considerably.

Why Knowledge and Information Matter

Looking back at the times I felt I’d reached my limit, I now realize that the obstacles themselves weren’t necessarily insurmountable. More often, I simplydidn’t know how to overcome them. There had been signs and warnings along the way, but I hadn’t noticed them. Sometimes, instead of taking a detour, I stubbornly tried to climb straight over the obstacle. Other times, I turned to the wrong person for advice or tried to solve everything on my own.

Again and again, it was my lack of knowledge and information that made a situation feel like a dead end.

Those experiences taught me just how important knowledge and information can be.

Wisdom comes from experience, so knowledge alone isn’t enough—you have to put it into practice. And when you’re surrounded by information, finding what you actually need often comes down to spending time with people who are further along the path, stay well-informed, and consistently have the insights you’re looking for. They might be older or younger than you; that doesn’t matter.

That also means becoming someone those people genuinely want to spend time with—someone they’d make time to see when you asked. It’s not about pressuring them to accommodate you. It’s about building genuine connections and letting those relationships develop naturally.

To do that, you have to stay hungry, keep aiming higher, and continue taking on new challenges with an open heart rather than settling for where you are. I have plenty of dreams and goals beyond buying a Panamera with my own money. Once you know how to move forward, there’s no such thing as a limit.

I hope to keep taking steady steps toward my goals, one at a time. (At this point, this isn’t even about cars anymore—haha!)
