What Does a Car Mean to ●●?

On BS Nippon TV, comedian duo Ogi Yahagi host a show called “Ogi Yahagi’s Beloved Cars: NO CAR, NO LIFE!.” The program explores each guest’s life and the cars they’ve owned along the way. At the end, Yahagi asks the guest, “What does a car mean to you?” After they share what their car means to them, the show wraps up.

Past guests have given answers such as:

■Masataka Matsutoya

A car is… something that was once a “dream.”

■Takaaki Ishibashi

A car is… a ticket to adulthood.

■Noritake Kinashi

A car is… convenient.

■Toshio Kurosawa

A car is… part of my body.

■Kentaro Minagawa

A car is… a symbol of prosperity.

■Masahiro Yamamoto

A car is… a source of comfort and a place to unwind.

■Kirin Kiki

A car is… my wife, Koharu, who never complains.

■Hiromi

A car is… a reflection of its times.

■Shohei Shofukutei

A car is… excitement.

So what does a car mean to me? Well, I’ve never actually bought a car myself, so I’d just be borrowing Masataka Matsutoya’s answer—but to me, a car is a “dream.” ( ̄ー ̄)b

All right, I’m off on a business trip by plane today. Time to give work everything I’ve got!
