A Woman I’d Never Met Before

The other day, I took my daughter to COOP to do some shopping and parked our Panamera in the lot. When we came back, a Volvo had pulled into the space next to us, and an elegant-looking woman who seemed quite well-to-do stepped out. The moment she spotted the Panamera, she said:

“What a lovely car! I’ve never seen one before. What is it?”

Caught off guard, I was a little flustered, but managed to reply, “Oh, it’s a Porsche Panamera.” She said:

“How lovely! It’s quite large, so it must be over five meters long, right? Oh, it’s wonderful!”

Then she disappeared into COOP. Right afterward, my daughter loudly asked, “Who was that?” and I nearly jumped（笑）

The Volvo driven by the woman who had complimented our car was lovely too. And there was something amusing about hearing the phrase “over five meters” come so naturally from such a refined lady.

Writing About Our Panamera

Yesterday, I wrote that I was thinking about visiting various dealerships and writing test-drive reviews. But after chatting it over with my husband and browsing the blog by Intensive911, which I’d been following for some time, I started thinking about it differently.

I’d assumed I couldn’t write much about the Panamera because there aren’t many roads I can drive on right now. But there’s plenty to write about even without taking it out for a drive.

A car isn’t just something you drive. You load things into it, fill it with gas, and ride in the back seat, too.

How much can you actually fit in the trunk? How spacious is the back seat? How much does the ride height drop when you adjust it using the touchscreen? …

There’s still so much I can write about. I haven’t even read the Panamera owner’s manual from cover to cover yet. In fact, I realized I still have a lot to learn about our Panamera.

So from now on, I’m going to write more firsthand, practical articles about the Panamera. All right! First, I’ll give the owner’s manual a thorough read.
